I can understand why guys ask for them. Many just don't have the time in the day to book an hour or more. It can be no easy feat to take the time out of ones day to reach the appointment, play and then get back home or to work. Undetected. Sometimes you just want some human interaction of the fun kind and you want to get it down and out and on.
I have my moments where I just want to have sex, fast, quick and hot. If I am REALLY horny it doesn't take much effort to get me off. I imagine the same can be said for men who ask for 1/2 hours. For others it's simply a time issue. Another reason could be that all the poor guy can afford is a half hour. Can't fault him for wanting some intimacy other than his own hand.
I personally prefer longer sessions, rather than wham bam thank you Miss Starr. But I am NOT going to lie, I have done 1/2 hours for clients I have met previously and who I clicked with. I am here for your service, if we have met before and you were a gentleman, and I am already at the Incall, I am fine with a quick hello. Half hours are VERY rare requests. I have also said NO to the half hour. It's not about just making a quick buck to me. An hour at least is the best way for us to get to know each other, to enjoy each other and to both have a mutually satisfying experience.
If you see me for ANY amount of time you will always get top notch service. Because I am a professional. With me you are going to want as much time as possible.

I recall a lot of hh types trying to cram 1 million things into 30 minutes to where it seemed they cared more about trying to knock off some kind of activities checklist in their heads than to relax and have fun (but lol then again there's no room to relax in a hh date).
I can see why for some they can be fun to do with people you already know pretty well but it's not enough to get to know someone (in a meaningful way) for a first date.
1hr dates can fly by pretty fast too tbh.
Also I didn't get many requests for them when I offered them (got far more 1hr or much longer dates anyways) so having that time-frame in ads or on my site became a waste of space really.
I've seen a lot of ladies who offer than make the hh rate pretty close to the 1hr rate so they don't lose a large amount (ex 250hhr 350hr).
I do not advertise them and would usually only do them with established clients. Some gentlemen just have little or no control, and are once and done. They don't have the funds or time for more, or in some cases would prefer to book 2 separate 1/2 hour appointments during my tour rather than one hour. As long as I know the gentleman is not trying to stretch 30 minutes into 60 for less money, and he is respectful and gentlemanly, I don't mind.
The down side for me is that I need time in between to fix my makeup, clean the room, etc. so half hour appointments can take more of a bite out of my schedule. That is why I usually prefer to book them when things are slow, or at the last minute when the time is available.
I have had one provider offer me 1/2 hour as an option. Which is a perfect amount of time for her epic oral skills.
And while I'd like to save the bucks I figure paying for a full hour, and leaving when done even if only 35 mins is still fair if I'm the one in a rush. I see the hour as a window of time for which I manage the outcomes.
Personally, I'm just happy to have a provider available to my needs and respect their need to make a living.

I once visited a provider for a 1/2 hour appt and ask to stay for an hour, she was in a hurry and said "save the money and come back and see me tomorrow" which I did. I guess there are all sort of situations
