Could anyone suggest or send me a PM of an apartment that you think would fit those options and is in a safe location? I am not on the provider only board so any suggestions would be great. I'm looking for a studio apartment that fits these amenities with a 4 month lease, and if it is furnished that would be even better. I'm not having much luck finding something that has these exact options in DC. The only place I found seems to be in a small apartment building and I would rather blend in with more people living there.

Contact a local realtor and ask them to find one for you. Realtors can search for all the things that you are looking for very easily.

There are quite a few short term leases in Fairfax, Reston, Herndon area. that I know. I am sure you can find a few in Downtown DC also.  A lot of people rent for short term for various reasons, but most leases are at least 12 month long.

Let me know if you find one.

Many buildings (apartments and condos) in DC have front desks. Seems newer places are doing away with this.

Many rental properties are very intrusive into the lives of their tenants. They know when your are home, and when you are not. They now all off your online shopping habits, they now when you have your dry cleaning done, they now when you have visitors. They know your entire lifestyle, and call you by name with a smile on their face.

Look for the front desk issue versus front door man.

Front desk is great for personal security and safety.
