Its funny because when you see a good and well reviewed provider, then that is enough to make you stay in the hobby for a very long time. On the other hand, when you see a provider with no reviews, low scores, or TOFTT and it turns out to be regretful, than that is enough to make you want to retire and quit the hobby, LMAO. Is this true? I think the answer is obvious. Sometimes being too adventurous, spare of the moment, or not thinking through the decision process will result in making these regretful decisions.

Had a few disappointing sessions where I TOFTT and regretted it. It affected my week because it consumed my thoughts and interfered with how I socialized with others outside of the hobby. They can sense that something was bothering me. So true, isn't it?

Had to call on a few reliable girls to remedy my situation. Unfortunately, they were unavailable because of the circumstances and I had to deal with this slump for a week. Normally if one girl can't make it, then I'll call a second girl. But how can all of my reliable girls not be in available in the same week? That's life.

If anything to be said or learned from this thread, then let me say thank you to all of the wonderful ladies out there with fantastic reviews that always strive to go that extra mile for your clients. You do more for me than the sexual aspect: you bring me joy, mental and physical relief, and comfort. For that, I respect, appreciate, and am grateful for your profession.

I ran into a real bad one last also, TOFTT. After the session I immediately called one I had seen before in the same hotel. I rewarded her with repeat business on the weekend. I am getting more selective like yourself.  

You need to make a promise. If you can't reach a regular or someone well reviewed wait or go back home to see your girlfriend or wife.

doesn't mean you just give up playing altogether, do you?

You get back at the plate and wait for the right pitch to swing at, and when it looks like a ball, just leave it alone...chances are that it is...

Always bring me into a self-imposed break, usually for a couple of months- but they remind me not to be too eager, and do my research - the time off allows me to refocus, stack some chips, and get back to the game in earnest- and since the bad providers are typically low fee BP fare, I just chalk the expense up to the cost of doing business- 3 credit hours for under $200 lol

I've also had a couple of bad experiences, and after each I sat back, ran through the poor decisions I made that lead to the poor experience, and then adjusted my provider selection and scheduling process accordingly.  Some of the lessons I learned are below.  Most are likely posted in the newbie or other boards, but some lessons you just have to learn for yourself.

1.  Backpage is a scary place.  I didn't do enough homework before starting the hobby and my first handful of experiences were with BP providers in mid to lower end hotels.  The girls NEVER looked as good as their photos, I often ended up in a hotel parking lot trying to reach the provider who didn't answer my texts even after setting up the time, and the experiences were rushed and unsatisfying.  While there may indeed be some 'diamonds in the rough' on BP, for the most part the diamond isn't there and all you're left with is the rough.

2.  Alcohol is not your friend during a session.  The one time I brought some alcohol to share with a provider, she ended up getting WAY too drunk, throwing up, continuing to drink, and eventually passing out.  This was a well reviewed provider and I think we could have had a nice time without the drinking, but I just got the heck out of there, completely unsatisfied, and never looked back.

3.  Don't book a traveling provider's first session in the area.  I've done this twice now and both times there was a problem with the provider's flight into town and she had to cancel with little notice.  These were well respected and highly rated providers so I gave both the benefit of the doubt that their reason for canceling was indeed air travel related.  Unfortunately, since they were highly respected and rated providers there were no reschedule opportunities during their visits that worked with my schedule.  From now on I will look to book an early session on their SECOND day in the area.

4.  If one appointment is cancelled, don't rush to find a replacement provider that same day.  I typically only schedule times with well reviewed providers, but the few times I've lowered my standards and made exceptions have been the times when I'm looking for a short notice replacement.  This sometimes works out fine, but there is also a higher rate of unsatisfying experiences.

5.  Know what you want before looking for and scheduling with a provider.  There are some great ladies out there offering different experiences at varying donation levels.  I frequently book and greatly enjoy multi-hour GFE sessions with some of our fantastic local and visiting providers.  These can get pricey, but I enjoy the longer sessions that allow for some conversation and relaxation along with the other fun.  Sometimes I simply am looking for a quick, fun time and don't need/want the full GFE experience.  There are quite a few beautiful ladies out there who are great to spend a quick hour (or less) with and have some fun.  The key is knowing what I want that day/week and scheduling accordingly.

Wise words, worth heeding.  I would append one observation re BP.  A while ago, I already knew two great providers who were new to the area/hobby and were using BP to get started and garner some reviews.  I advised them to get the hell off BP and they told me nicely, "I will when I've got things going," and they did and we became good friends.  BP has its uses, and sometimes reading between the lines works, but not always and I agree that it's risky.
