I concur with the smoking/drugs statement...... but having tattoos doesn't by any means the provider is "low-end"

Tattoos are an art form and a way for people to express themselves.... To look down upon someone for having them is so 100 years ago. Nowadays doctors, lawyers and LE have tattoos... not just hookers and sailors

Criticizing tattoos may be "soo 100 years ago" to some, but I still think they look cheap and low end, and there are far better ways of self expression.  But there are exceptions:  long-timers may remember a lovely K girl who was here for about a year a few years ago and who had a terrific rose tattoo low on her back.  On her it looked good.

Well, that's the beauty of the hobby... there are so many different types, colors, shapes & sizes of providers available.... some with ink and some without. It's great to have options

I guess my opinion is somwehat bias... I've got tattoos... 7 to be exact, but you'd never know it because of their strategic placements.

Like it or not though, it is certainly a part of our culture. Even if you're not a fan, I bet you'd enjoy going to a tattoo convention. I've been to a few and got inked at one... I've seen some interesting things. A Japanese guy using the ancient method.. manual!

Completely blows the "tatoos are bad theory" out of the water.

For me it's all the above but cleanliness is key. I like them freshly showered and smelling good in every nook and cranny of the body.

High end is not in numbers, affiliation, or appearance....high end, I believe, is the quality of the experience with a lady that holds herself to a high standard as well as her gentlemen which creates a safe, genuine, discrete, and earth shattering experience. A number cannot be placed on such an experience or a woman that maintains this ability but I believe that it has the most likelihood to be found in a woman that is educated and/or otherwise capable of other successful ventures yet has elected to be in this field and sincerely appreciates it. I believe that she is a woman who carries herself well in her personal life as far as her values, health, relationships, and usage of alcohol and such (if any) so that she is balanced in her mind, body, and spirit and can engage you on the deepest of levels. Therefore, she is never distracted, never faking, never participating in something she does not truly want to do. Yes, you can further narrow it down by putting a rating of 8+, a donation of 5 plus, and other commonly found denominators but I am certain that we can all collectively agree that you have been disappointed more than once or twice at that level and so numbers are not reliable. There are some great responses here and what struck me most is the comment about actually feeling it when you part ways and feeling the emptiness in your room or life. This caliber of lady should feel like a wonderful light in your life for your time together to such a degree that you do indeed feel it when it turns off. That is 'high end' to me, but I find those terms and that classification superficial in the first place. If it needs too many adjectives, there must be something lacking in the quality of the noun. Haha, little English humor.

"High end" in the sense of the original question to me means on the high end of the range of rates within a particular market.  So, in this area it would be $600 per hour and above.  It connotes to me low volume and might include 2 hour minimums.  Unless the provider is insane it also means well above average in conventional beauty, since to be at the high end of rates and still wanting income would likely require it.  

I don't begrudge any woman placing any price on her services and time.  Any guy who gripes about rates shows a lack of class IMO.  If I see I rate I wouldn't pay for a woman who knocks my socks off visually, I just think gee that's too bad and wish her well.  I'm also jealous of guys who have that kind of discretionary cash to burn.  I'm jealous, too, of guys who have wealth enough to maintain 100 foot luxury sail boats with crews to go out whenever they choose.
