Valentine's Day...Will You Be Mine? (look inside)

I read in the newspaper that the origin of Valentine's Day goes way back to the Roman Empire...in the 3rd century A.D.  

At that time, the emperor saw love as a distraction, so he banned marriage in an attempt to remove the distraction.  A priest named Valentine defied the emperor and continued to marry lovers in secret.  Valentine became a hero of the people, but when the emperor discovered his defiance, the priest was jailed and then executed...on February 14th.  

While Valentine was awaiting his execution, the couples who he married would bring him red roses to express their gratitude. During that time, he and the jailer's daughter fell in love, and on his last day he passed a love letter to her that ended with the words "from your Valentine."

Years later, it was decided to commemorate Valentine and make a holiday of this special day for lovers.  It is the one day each year when a person may profess their love by giving love letters and presents to the special person in their lives.

Today, besides the beauty of red roses and the openness of love letters, because of it's sweetness chocolate has become a medium for love.  So be sure to express your love tomorrow to that special person in your life with beauty, openness and sweetness.
