Being a southern girl, I never really had the taste for real Italian pizza but that has all changed now lol. I never had " brick oven" pizza until I tried a slice out in Hoboken. I took a break away from my normal healthy routine and decided to step out for a treat and wow such a major difference!
Don't get me wrong I love Pizza in general but I now have a new found love for brick oven pizza.
IDK why but geez was it good. NYC is known for this, I mean it truly is so this question definitely belongs here. I picked some good places off of yelp. I also googled a few known spots but what's research without asking here, I like to use all sites the more the better.

Where can I find the best " brick oven" pizza? I guess you can say I'm spoiled now, it has to be brick oven. I prefer midtown but at this point I'm willing to go anywhere in the city. I just find it easier since I'll be staying in Midtown.

XOXO

Patsy’s Pizzeria located at 2287 1st Aveneue b/t 117th St & 118th St in East Harlem.  While there are a number of other places called Patsy's, the original is a staple of what remains of Italian East Harlem.  Dating to 1933, when it opened it was one of New York's earliest pizzerias along with Lombardi's in Nolita, Totonno's in Coney Island, and John's on Bleeker Street in the West Village, all still operating and still making great brick oven pizza.  I don't think you will have much luck in midtown, however.

For a modern day brick oven pizza, try Motorino or Bruno in the East Village

Johns on Bleecker, just off 7th Av.

Ridic.

15 minute cab ride at most from midtown area.

Your taste buds will thank me. lol

Johns on Bleecker street seems to be the top place for me. Although I pretty much got lost in the bunch when deciding this just seems to stick out the most.

XOXO
