Has anybody been been there? Is it worth it to go?

I heard about it but wasn't sure if it is worth the trip.

...the tar pits.  There's the Page Museum which displays the fossiles removed from the tar pits.  And there are other things to see there.  LACMA is next door and the Petersen Automotive museum is down the block.

while you're in the area.  That is if you're into museums.  I've never taken a tour or been into the tar pits museum.  I'm assuming there is one.  But, I've walked by the tar pits and seen the them from the sidewalk.

If you have an interest in prehistoric history and fossils, then yes, you should go.  But, if you're expecting rides and entertainment, then take a pass.

Lol. Not like a road trip. You know, like you make a trip to the grocery store. Same thing!

But, whatever floats your boat.

Getting all the tar off afterwards must be a bitch

Actually I've done a mud bath before and I really didn't like it. It was way too hot and almost scorched my skin.
