Hello Chicagoans!
As we all know, eating well and getting exercise can be difficult when on tour. I am largely keto-pescetarian so it's even more a struggle for me right now. But cheating a little bit because of all the exercise I hope to get. (Going for a 8 mile run on the river/lake tomorrow will help me off set any extra calories)

This morning, I was lucky enough to discover the wonderful "Protein Bar" for breakfast. But lunch and dinner options remain a mystery for me LOL  

Does anyone have recommendations for nice places with a reasonable selection of healthier food options? In DC we have places like Chopt, many vegan spots, healthy food trucks etc. for guilt free lunch options.  
I'm also happy to hear any brunch, lunch, or dinner options you all may have period (even if they aren't healthy). I see there is an STK here which I love, and of course I'm dropping into Harold's for wings with mild sauce later today....  

Places in downtown/river north are preferred but I'm willing to go anywhere for good food. Late night bars are welcome as well.

You could do a make your own stir fry which is quite good downtown called flat top grill. Once you make the bowl they will make it for you.

Go. To. Sweetgreen. Ontario & State I think (3-5 min walk from Mag Mile). Down the street from one Starbucks and around the corner from another. Credit/debit only (to reduce waste I think & the owners have their minds on the future where cash will be "a thing of the past").  

It's a semi-national chain & my favorite! They have an app too & you can order ahead or create your own bowl. I know they're in L.A. & NYC so I'd be surprised if they weren't in DC too but idk. I seriously love this place & I am there like 3 times a week lol.

Ah! They are in DC- but I didn't think to look them up because I prefer chopt. I will find the closest location to me. Thank you!

located just a couple blocks west of Navy Pier at 255 E. Grand Ave.  There's also Greektown located on the near west side (Halsted St. & W. Jackson Blvd.) near UIC.  Also, Little Italy located on W. Taylor St. near UIC Medical School.
