I will be going to the Smithsonian on Saturday and would love to hear from some locals some things to do in DC. I like museums obviously.. but I also like quirky off the wall stuff. Something unique. Not into touristy shit. Unusual restaurants? things to see? best are for walking around and seeing unique shops (not chain stores) I would be delighted and grateful for any help in the right direction Bianca
Smithsonian (plenty of museums), also you can take the metro to old town alexandria and walk on king street (to the water), you can take the water taxi as well. Google things to do in DC there's a website where you can see all activities, festivals, concerts and more every weekend.
Restaurantes? Well, depends of the type of food you like but there's everything in here!!!
The National Gallery of Art is not to be missed, and for a somewhat unusual museum, there is one just dedicated to the news media. I think it is called the News Museum, or something like that.
