Los Angeles is huge and not being from the area it can get really confusing on what parts of town are safe to stay in. Or are better / more convenient to get to with the daily traffic grind.  

I've noticed hotel rates on Priceline are all over the place, high & low. I was wondering if there are places to definitely stay away from or parts of town you ladies & gents would recommend?
