Visitiing New York in a few months

I would like some suggestions on where to go and what the nigh life might be like. I will be afro punk weekend and I want to know what New York is all about.

I'm guessing that a trip to the top of the Empire State Building is not what you had in mind....

I hate to have to confess, but I'm not as hip as I once was and the term afro punk leaves little question marks buzzing over my balding pate.

However, whenever a person mentions a trip to The Big Apple on these boards, I recommend a trip to The Museum of  Sex which is on Fifth Ave in the 20s.  I've been there twice and always found it entertaining and informative.  The gift shop is worth the price of admission
