I got the chance to visit SF year before last and it amazing (prior to my time joining the hobby). My advice is very touristy buuut here's my two cents.

I compare all mass transit to what I know from TX (which is primarily an actual joke, like not serious mass transit at all). So Chicago is amazing, and SF was also really good. I was really impressed. I also made it a point to ride one of the vintage streetcars down on the peer (total tourist trap, was fun though). Trolleys are just cooler than buses. It is known.

I didn't know that Sushi burritos("sushirrito") were even a thing before then, but they are, and amazing. There are a couple of places to get them in the area. One place is even named Sushirrito as that's all they do. Although looking around they apparently have them here in Chicago now as well.

I also made it a point to get to Wicked Grounds, a kink cafe and boutique. Because shopping for new silk rope is best done sipping a fancy coffee. Haha.

Al the upscale biz hotels and boutique options as well. Going to pricey, and sometimes rooms anywhere in the area are hard to find, except at an outrageous rate. Lots of touristy things to do. A trip to Sausalito is always fun.

You can also look into staying around SFO, but it's not as desirable.

that I have stayed at, and found them very clean, safe, and comfortable.

PM me an I can name one in particular that I was at recently
