I used to tour quite frequently on the East Coast here is the advice I wish someone would've told me:
1) Pre-book and take down payments... Nothing is worse than shelling out the dough for tickets and hosting locations and not getting any bookings.
2) Take the train, your baggage is free, they have wifi (limited to family friendly sites so no access to TER, P411, Date-check etc.) there's also a decent bar car with snacks, drinks, and a microwave.
3) Always do your research around where your hotel/ incall will be. It stinks to be in one part of the town where there are no restaurants, drug stores, or leisure activities for quick or longer down time.
4) Screening, screening, screening! Some areas are more tolerant than others for working ladies...
5) Let someone close to you know where you are at all times. Please keep in touch as unfortunately ladies have disappeared.. This also goes hand in hand with #4
6) HAVE FUN! See the sites when you can, especially in Boston. That was and always will be my favorite city!
Bon Voyage!
