Will be making a few trips to Vegas in the next 5 months. Where is it better to play blackjack between the two areas? I'm concern that if I play downtown, the tables have smaller minimum which draw a lot of rookie players or college students? I was in Reno last weekend and I couldn't believe the stupidity at the tables. Player has a soft 19 and dealer was showing a five and he took a hit which was the dealers bust card. I know the hotel deals are better downtown but I don't want to play in that atmosphere. How are the comps downtown? Ceaser's Entertainment has gotten so cheap that I'm no longer going to be a patron there.
I like the strip. And if the other players are your concern, go to a $50 min table or $25 table. You'll find a "different" type of player...Comp are better at Downtown compared to the strip. But the days of getting comp dinner after you've played are long gone, unless your play is $100.....
