It is easy to get to, has great restaurants and hotels, as well shopping.

But it is pricey.

If you're on a budget, the airport hotels are convenient and relatively cheap, but there's not much to do unless you like watching airplanes land and take off all day.

A good compromise might be the Seaport District, but it is not the easiest place to get to or get around in.

Outside the city, the western suburbs, especially around routes I-95 and I-90 are easy to get to.

Stay away from the northern towns.  LE seems to be rampant there.
