(www.alsbeef.com) for dogs and Italian beef has several locations in the downtown area.  Also, as was mentioned earlier Portillo's (www.portillos.com) has excellent Italian beefs and dogs.

Daniela is in town and I have bragged up chicago hot dogs to no end lol  but it has been ages since I was in town and got the pleasure of one.

Any suggestions on where to get the best Chicago hot dog downtown??

2 of the 4 line cooks opened their own place called Hot G Dog...and is pretty close to the former sausage emporium.

I also like the original SuperDawg on Milwaukee and Devon.

It's in Lincoln Park area but it's a great place, great weiners, fun atomospher & maybe a celebrity siting here or there!!!
