OK, let me say that I have had both and, like all things in the sexual arena......YMMV.  I have a GG "friend" who has been a regular fee for services hookup for 7 yrs.  As you can imagine, we have tried it ALL!  She is a petite 100 lb sexual dynamo who loves role reversal and, occasionally, pounding the daylights out of me with a strapon.....with her, it's awesome.....with others, not so much.

Has anyone had enough experience with both to discuss the differences? Is there a huge difference? If so, is one way better than the other, and why?

Fortunately, I've never had that experience with a TS, though I have been on the receiving end.  Of course, if the provider is skilled, that's an issue that can often be... wait for it... overcome. :-D

I'm not really experience in these areas, but it seems a no-brainer to even the uninitiated like me.  I think a GG with a strap is cop-out.  Its like wearing clip-on ear rings, because you are afraid of getting pierced.  Or a clip-on tie because you don't want to bother learning to make the knot.  A strap-on dildo is just weak, IMHO.
