has anyone been to tijuana mex lately? wondering what it may be like, i have always herd it was good, but was wondering if that is still the case? ive been told by straight guys that the ts girls are very passable

Yes, they are hot and there are plenty but I would not travel into TJ right now.  The drug wars are heavy and people are getting killed, its not safe.  Plus many of the TS girls are not always at the best of bars.  You do not want to venture down a dark side street just to see a TS.

Thats the way I felt at one time.  The only semi safe way to enjoy TJ is to go with a larger group, get a taxi right acorss the border and go directly to one club like Adelitas.  Its been about two years but that is what I would do and probably went over there about 50 times with no problems. If you are not familiar with TJ, Adelitas is a famous/popular bar for female hookers. Its surrounded by smaller bars and girls working in little hotels standing outside.  Just go to youtube and search and you will see videos.  Revolution is the most populated area (Its a street) and all the resturants and clubs are there. Disco's, a few strip clubs, etc.  

Two years ago, I was there and I was on Revolution which is the hub of activity and I almost got killed, strangled, and robbed right in the middle of the street with mexican police in view.  They could care less and my wallet, watch, and money was stolen and it was not an amature crew.   Some guy said "Hey Buddy"  I acknowledged him, kept walking and about 30 seconds later, a guy twice my size came up behind me and put a head/neck lock on me, strangled me to the ground and about five of his workers came up and took everything and I was helpless, he was very strong (I'm no little kid) and I was out of breath being punched in the stomach and strangled at the neck.  (NOT A FAKE STORY)  For months, I had these idiots trying to fuck with my credit, getting cards sent to hotels in TJ and to hotels right across the border and all I was doing was walking to get a taco.   I'm so glad I only took my one bank card and two others and left the rest in the hotel across the border on the US side.  MY error was I left the group so my mistake.  

So, I myself have been over there with no problems. I have actually stayed in hotels in TJ, Ensenada, etc.  It only takes one time and you will not disagree with my opinion.  There were TS bars on Revolution.  If they are not there anymore, they are on side streets a few blocks from Adelitas which is a very dangerous area.  

The good news:  Murders in TJ are dropping from 134 in December to 48 in April:  See link...

Now the good news...You can see a smoking hot latina girl, maybe 21 who is very beautiful for $70 for the girl, $12 for the room, and $2 tip for the towl boy.  Smoking hot.

You can see a TS girl for $50 for the girl, $8 for the room, and $3 for the condom.

But I wont be back.  My experience cured me.  I will pay the extra money to see local girls who have reviews.  Or wait for the girls to filter up from TJ to the US and are willing to provide good deals cuzz they are trying to get established in the US.

I miss the fun over there but to me, its just no worth it anymore. U decide.  

thanks dog for the sharing your scary experience, i have not been there since the early 90s, and i thought the girls were not very attractive unless alcohol was involved. but since the early 2000's ive been told the girls are amazing so i have been curious. i like some danger but probably not the kind tj can provide. so is it even out of the question during the daytime. my research says chicago club which is around the corner from adelitas is were the ts girls hang out. it looks on google to be very close to us border. what if one takes cab in and then has cab wait outside, can that work? are there cabs running around all the time? going alone a complete no no? are there places the latina t girls hang out at when they cross border in san diego? what about other spots in mexico like cancun which i would think is more tourist friendly, are there ts girls in cancun? sorry about all the questions, just looking for the fun playground.

Mid-tier bars may have transsexuals, as noted:

Peanuts and Beer: These days, the dancers here are all women. Don't be afraid to have the barker escort you down the alley; it's safe.
Madonas: Pretty average for an Ave Revo strip club.
Bambi Club: Some transsexuals here, but the club itself isn't bad.
Sans Souci: Some transsexuals here as well.
Lower-tier bars either have transsexuals galore, or ugly women:

Unicornio: not at all recommended.
El Tigre/Zorro Bar: Reportedly, this club has very pretty (female) dancers downstairs, and very pretty (transsexual) dancers upstairs. I haven't checked.

that's a crazy story. And I don't doubt it one bit. Sorry it's happened to you, and would certainly change my view of things as well. No surprise about the police. I don't know where I was, we took cabs, one average strip club, and by Analitas. Walked on the street, $1 street tacos, etc. We were a group of 2 or 3, never had a problem, we are not big guys.

Murders in TJ dropping is important, another good statistic would be attacks/muggings as yours, but that doesn't work as most aren't reported/cops don't care.

Kinda rolling the dice...though I feel most are against locals/latino's vs. Americans. Especially murder.

ps - yeah last time I was on La Revu they mentioned the # of bars is down from 12 to 2, or something similiar

I went with some friends about 5 years ago....made the mistake of wondering off and taking a short cut through a fairly large plaza while my buddies were in a strip club. Next thing I know, four police have me with my hands up and taking all of my stuff out of my pockets....I was thinking this was a classic TJ shakedown...I'll be lucky to get out of this alive. It turns out that they were the federal police, not local, and I had walked into a well known dangerous drug exchange area. Learned my lesson....never leave your group (I was getting something to eat), and never assume any area is safe though it may look so.

wondering does club noa noa still exist and if so were in tj is it? and is chicago club a good place for t girls?

also is it easy to catch a cab once you want to get out of the zona norte area, do the cabs roll right up to adelitas and chicago club?

Yep, and here is (or was) the hangout corner for TS girls a few blocks from Adelitas.  I'd go with a group vs a friend.  They can also be quite agressive trying to close the deal.  They will either be on this corner or within the block.

thanks Dog, do they hang during daytime? are they better looking than the girl girls? when i live in san francisco the ts girls looked better than the reg girls post/polk vs. geary blvd.

San Francisco?  Visiting the OC?  No, they are night owls, some are very very hot and because I also lived in SF can relate. Sometimes a female was mixed in the crowd of ts girls on the corner and  you had to ask who was what.

your post got me curious of wanting to go to tj.  my only problem is that i don't speak spanish and don't know my way around tj.  i was wondering if anyone was interested of getting a group of us to go since with a group it will be more safer. i'm not sure if this has been done before, just putting the idea out there. let me know what you guys think.
