More and more international phone numbers appearing on US ad boards

Well, at least they're appearing on my local boards, though I've seen the like on Los Angeles and Las Vegas ad boards also.
Typically, they're saying things like "Text me on WhatsApp and telegram only".
I'm kind of presuming that these are OnlyFans spammers.
I've never been inspired to start using WhatsApp or Telegram, still using my old, crusty hobby phone.  Anyone find it worthwhile for our hobby?  "Worthwhile" meaning, "Yes, I've made genuine in-person dates that way."
Thanks.

Id probably avoid those like the plague, unless they were highly reviewed by trusted reviewers on here

Communication part of the hobby and world that's definitely changing. Zuckerberg has invested all kinds of money after buying Whatsapp. It's a huge app outside of the united states, all the girls from Asia, Europe, Central and South America may not have a smart phone with cellular service, but now they can get whatsapp and telegram to use with it via internet service. Many people in the US with foreign relatives may keep in touch with them via either of those apps now.

While some of those are probably fakes, some of them are also legit and real. The same types of contacts are also showing up in adds in Chicago, not just coastal states. If you were looking for girls in the mentioned countries you most likely would NOT be calling them in the traditional sense. It's a similar revolution as cell phones became more popular compared to land lines, communication is really crossing over to any electronic device can contact any other electronic device across multiple apps and software via text, email, phone or video calls.

It’s easy enough to verify people these days. If they say that in their ad and have legit looking social media that indicates they are indeed from out of the country, then I would not worry about it. This applies to WhatsApp because that essentially allows you to use your international number wherever. You can see the person’s number when texting so it’s easy to tell that they are using it for that l purpose. When SuzieXXL was visiting the US she had something like this in her ad. Also chances are the legit providers visiting and using WhatsApp are pretty well know  they are able to afford international travel, or at the very least have an online presence that can easily be verified.

Telegram in the other hand I’d be more skeptical of. While it’s anonymity and convenience is great for both clients and providers, I think both tend to stay away from it as an initial or only source of communication for that reason as well. It allows you to use your international number in the same way as WhatsApp but you don’t see the other persons number when texting in the app, so there is no way to verify if they are indeed using it because they have an international number or just to be anonymous for presumably bad reasons. I would be especially skeptical of an ad that only had a telegram, legit looking social media or otherwise.

All these apps and the world in general seems to be moving toward video calls/chat. For Face time you need an iPhone for WhatsApp and Telegram you can use any phone and it can be a phone without cellular service only internet. So like in 2001 A Space Odyssey is finally here...
