I've been wondering lately what other hobbyists use as excuses to get out of the house

Oh my god is this an amazing opportunity to talk about something I've been wanting to for a while! You guys don't need to come up with excuses for this! Instead of her trying to fabricate a reason, just see use it work. I don't know how many hobbyists I've seen in the recent past whoever asked if they'd like me to come to their office, and they had  never thought about doing it before.  

In this day and age most employers have some type of security camera system going on. I don't think this role play is as easy or as safe as it sounds...don't let a 1 hour fantasy scene ruin your whole life. Play safe! Play smart!

if you already do something that gets you out of the house and alone time (surfing, jogging, bike riding) or can authentically start doing such or reviving a past alone activity (use to go to local pond and fish) add on to that time or replace it with a sesh w/ provider.
e.g., i have client that gets up early to go surfing, so once a month he comes by my place at 5:30am and skips his surfing sesh that day
i have another who joined a meet up group that discusses politics and his spouse would never think of joining, so he skips those meet ups and comes to see me.
and some of my business guys find a reason to end business dinners early or leaving a biz networking event and head to my place before heading home since spouse wouldn't disturb them during their client schmoozing.
key is that the activities you replace or add on to aren't ones that the significant other would have ability to confirm your attendance or participation.
its similar to what my law school professor joked about to avoid doing hard time, "always work alone and never carry a gun"
