Since I moved to Vegas 2.5 yrs. ago, I have dabbled with providers 5-6 times with mixed results.  Although I have enjoyed these sessions, I was curious about pursuing non-customer relationships with a TS.  Any feedback on how to go this route would be appreciated such as where to find and differentiate non-working TS's and how  such relationships work would be appreciated.

Why do you want a LTR over a NSA (no strings).  Do you really want a life mate bad enough to buy her a car, house, clothes, medical insurance, vacations, sex change, boobs, etc?  Suddenly escorts look pretty good don't they?  You get a girlfriend you can pay in installments, they pay their own bills and they go away when you have other things to do.

So to address your question... The problem with establishing LTRs with TS's is according to studies between 30 and 70% of TS's are in the sex industry in one capacity or another, mostly escorts. In Vegas it's probably 95%.

Many escorts develop relationship and intimacy issues which makes success difficult in the long term. My partner and I are pretty much the exception.  We are in fact the only long term TS couple in the biz that I know of.

So what's left.  The transgendered people who are  marginally or not passable in their gender role and are 50, and totally wrapped up in thier own situation.

Many TG's are already in establilshed relationships - there are lot's of mainstream T's who transistion and remain married and like girls sexually. Others gravitate toward relationships with other T's.

Then you have those with mental/ emotional challenges or drug issues, relating to or independent from their gender issues. Then there's the percentage who have no interest in a relationship or sex.

So what's left?  Like 4 out of 100...

And where do you find these girls?  Not at drag bars (definately not the Las Vegas Lounge...).

Maybe at TS events and confrences.  But there you will see a whole different TS world.  Where sex is  a taboo word, and sex workers are horrible people and not to be assoicated with.  I've been told my "morals" were not up to the "standard" to participate in various trans activities.  So we live mainstream.

Where will you find us, besides online or our drag bar?  At the beach, out to dinner, at the mall, at school.  At lesbian or straight clubs. At Yosemite or sailing or surfing, or in our pool.  And that's about where you'll find other mainstream T-girls.

You might want to check out tsgirlfriend.com. I have not fully investigated the site because I am not looking for a TS girlfriend. You might get some use out of it. I discovered it while searching online for information about transsexuals.

I know it's a little late for a reply and this might not be the appropriate forum, but here goes. It's kind of easy to meet a TS online and there are quite a few sites you can go to to meet them. There's one based in Vegas you might be interested in called lvtg.com others range from URnotalone to craigslist. There's others I can't think of right off the top of my head.

Believe it or not, if you post a decent ad with a face pic on CL, a few girls will respond.

As to differentiating, I've found that keeping an eye on this site and eros can really help out. Some girls kind of dabble in escorting and will lie about it. I've met a few girls from online that told me they didn't escort, when I knew they did, because I've seen their ad before. It's kind of hard to tell sometimes, but you usually can after you've dated a few.
