Wyndham in Beacon Hill. i stayed there and you have some cool places to go, and eat. The elevators dont require a key so that's a good thing. The rooms are nice. They give you the necessary stuff you need including a shower cap (which I always appreciate). The only thing is that they try to ask for money if you ask for a fridge in the room, but if you stay for more than just a couple of days then you can just tell them and they will not charge you.
The Copley area is the best id say. Tons of hotels to chose from. If not there, id go the waterfront in south Boston and then the financial district. Hope that helps!

Kayla, to answer your question about Woburn. It's a suburb of Boston and probably a 10-15 minute drive (not walkable) from downtown. Places like Woburn, Waltham and Burlington do have plenty of hotel choices but are relatively isolated if you don't have a car.
I agree with Sasha that the Windham is nice or anything in the Copley Square or Theatre District, without getting too specific for discrepancy sake
