I always asked clients to confirm at least 30 mins before their arrival ( in a busy time ), if they don't call in 35 mins, thats mean they are gone, he kept telling me his coming in 5 mins, but i was patients enough and have waited for 45 mins, when he finally arrived, I had to cancelled him because it was too close to the next appt, but I also lost the previous client since i told him that I'm waiting for someone. I could have double booked, but worry if they come at the same time, and it would only make me nervous ! I guess this is how the bussiness work, I think being on time is the best !
Every providers has different rule, in my case, call-confirm-come, no confirm meaning don't follow rule, and it's gone, i do not call back unless they leave voicemail and asked to call back !

A provider who is on this board and also has a few nice reviews left me high and dry today. Emailed to schedule and fixed time. Asked to call one hour before to confirm. Since I was over an hour away, called as soon as I got on the road. Got voice mail.

Tried her a few times but got vm. Sent her a couple of emails using blackberry and still no response. Wasted more than a couple of hours driving.  

She is traveling to the east cost and if anyone wants more info please PM me.

REMEMBER it's too early to jump to conclusions she may be having an emergency. Or may be not...

A provider here pulled the same stunt with me back in October. Scheduled the appointment, called the same day to get directions, nothing but voice mail. Don't know what happened, don't care, off my list. I've since found a really sweet T-girl here that I see whenever I can, so I figure #1's loss is #2's gain, and mine. :)

I mean...this girl asked to call her to confirm, so if she did not answer, it simply mean the appointment was postponed or cancelled.

It happens to me at least once a week if not more.  I simply left a message to a prospective client, saying that i will wait for another 15 minutes for you to call me..if not...I will simply call somebody else to replace your place.  

case closed and let's move on.

I agree with you Gisela, if a person does not call to confirm then you should cancel the appointment. Such guys are jerks. But in my case the lady did not respond when I called. So just like you are unhappy with the guys who don't call, I am unhappy with the lady who did not respond.

What I understand from your statement is that you reserve the slot for the guy and if he does not call then slot is given to someone else. You see I called and emailed but did not get any response. Basic courtsey demands at least a call back to explain the situation. So far I have no clue what happened, if she explains well and good, if not there are several other ladies to choose from. She has good reviews, but I have seen ladies with tons of great reviews slowly and steadily lose reputation when they NCNS.

When I schedule an appointment with a lady I am committed to see her and hence don't ever schedule with another lady as a fall back. It's unfair to do that. So no last minute replacements for me.

The whole discussion raises a key question. When the lady asks to call and confirm does it mean there is an agreement to meet or does it mean nothing till the one hour or 30 minutes when one party calls to confirm.

Yes, Asiantantric..i can see that you are upset. I always call somebody if i cannot make it, unless..of course, i have an accident or something like that.

However, this popular girl might get so many calls thus get confused, therefore in this case, FOR HER "call me in one hour to confirm" means an agreement to meet by the time you call her back, NOT prior to that.

For me, of course, i will book and reserve your slot at the first place once i receive your  call or e-mail for a specific time that we both agree, and then you simply have to call me back to confirm...and if not, i'll give your time slot to other client.

But again, as Gisele has stated, each of us do our business differently, maybe it is not the case for her.

I'm not trying to defend her here.  I am just trying to be fair for both of you.

Anyway, don't be too upset..as you said..there are so many cute girls out there including us here in this board LOL

I wish you have a better luck next time Asiantantric, and make sure ask more questions with regards to an appointment in order NOT to be disappointed again

maybe this is one of your bad day, nothing will go smooth everytimes,  I'm sure the provider you were going to see has really good reviews and reputation, thats why you had plan to meet her, I understand your time was as valuable as her time, so you might just take a deep breath and forget about it, you never know, things happend unexpectedly, let's hope you will get better replacement and get what you wanted and soon you will forgive her mistake ! if you keep positive, things will get easier, what goes around comes around, cheersss !!!

Ok with the suspense asian are you gonna let us all know who it was ??

This issue came up before with the guys how long do you wait before you move on to another provider?  In a perfect world maybe you never have to wait but I think everyone knows that at any time life can get in the way of the hobby and things happen with the provider and hobbist.  The only frustrating thing to me is sometimes I travel to meet a provider and then they dont pick up the phone thats frustrating. I wish they would just come out and say no then I could easily move on.  Although I would say it has never happened to me with a well vettted provider. I also think if the provider would just pick up the phone and say due to  whatever we have to reschedule or cancell(and maybe talks dirty to me for about 10 minutes I would be ok with that. :)

I am going to step forward and accept responsibility.  I have emailed asiantantric so this is just for the board. My last night in Chicago I was unexpectedly busy.  I finally had a chance to nap at 7 a.m. for a couple hours. Unfortunately that turned into several hours. I missed every appointment I had set, most which were my Chicago regulars, and barely made my flight to Phila.. It is very unlike me to schedule and not show. It is generally the other way around.  I am however in Philly and I am safe and well rested.  I am getting ready to tour the east coast and will be back in Chicago the end of March. I am sorry for the missed connection in Chicago and I can assure you I will make it up when I return.  Thank you, AsianTantric for not calling me out and allowing me to tell on myself :)

Not many providers come out and accept responsibility. I think you are going to be one of my ATFs. Making a connection with an honest person as hot as you can be explosive :)
