Tonight, I took a look at the number of posts hitting the board each day for the past week or so..on average about 8 or 9 posts.

There must be a really good reason for eliminating all of the MODs overnight because the activity here has dropped tremendously.  When the three of us MODS reviewed posts, we would typically review at least 30 posts each day and thats not counting the peeps who were not moderated.  

It is what it is....everything has an ending but wish I knew the real reason behind it all.  Lets see if this posts hits the board

i think the board was much better with the mods we had here  they worked hard and made the board fun smooothly and informative .

I know I personally haven't been as active as I could've, but trust it

I myself have been on and off with the posts, but i will say that about 3 posts that i have submitted haven't gone through. Since they discarded MOD's, i'm not sure who reviews the posts but they seem to be slightly more strict about whats posted imo.

I have been watching off and on, and it seems there is the multitude of lazy don't want to search, 411 posts, sometime 10 or 12 in a row! The other is a lack of anyone starting any intellectual discussions except for a few of our regular lovely providers, so it has become a little boring. Hope the board lights up, ask and start conversations, talk about what makes you happy, or what pisses you off, oh and by the way, "Who's has the biggest Love stick in Bakersfield?".

I pay my membership to avoid the rip-offs.  Since the removal of the mods I'm not so sure I'm maximizing my investment.  I certainly miss your insights Dog.

I've said all I had to say about the decisions made by the TER Powers That Be, so I have nothing more to add except my opinion that they fucked up. Completely.

So, I admit to checking in here once in awhile myself. I don't know if the new "mods" are more strict with moderated members or not, but I personally noticed an instance where they seemed to be being particularly nice to a new lady who has hit the boards, and was advertising here. I pointed it out, later that morning, the whole thread was removed. A few days on she's back, no reviews but some very nice pics.  Back in the old days, that kind of stuff would get a lady moderated pronto. I think this board is an afterthought to the management, but who knows? I'm sure they'll be naming some new cruise directors one of these days.

By treating this forum as a "ghetto", the powers are policing one of the most well-behaved boards. So far, I have only had one post removed, and it was likely for the best, since a possible flame war was averted, however, when the original Mods were here, it would most likely have never gotten to the stage where "slash and burn" was necessary, and the issue could have been resolved in a more gentlemanly, respectful manner. As Sancho said "Old habits die hard", and it is ironic that the most important post I put up here as of late was only responded to by one Bro"...You!.  The powers have truly trod upon their foreskins with this board, using a broad brush over all boards, even the mostly well behaved one's, rather than a scalpel to cut into the boards where anarchy reigns which needs a firmer hand of control. It always major suckage' to be punished for the bad behavior of others. Alas, the old saw still sums it up: If it aint' broke, don't try to fix it"!.....

Like I have said before, this board used to keep me up at night...NOW, it puts me to sleep!!!!

Because you folks have already said everything I did in that post EXCEPT for one thing.

The one additional thing in my post was my opinion of the exact incident that precipitated the change in this board.  I guess THAT is why my post was deleted...
