Look for more police activity that could lead to the end of an era for the Peanuts/Yukon scene.

Not so much about who's involved, as much as how -- if they are -- are these fights tied to the arrests or sweeps ? Are guys fighting or are TSs fighting ? Are they targeting solely the TS scene or what ?

... I hope we don't ever see another incidence like that of Silvia Boots a few years ago. Lovely, huh ?

Ah... ok.   That's what I figured, but it didn't make sense to me.  Well, what I was actually doing was giving some details about the "fight".   According to the manager at the Yukon, the girls were using tire irons.   I'll let you all decide if that's true or not.

I don't know why Hessian said what he did.  I thought that information might be of interest or amusement to some of you.  In the future I'll keep the details to myself.

Maybe he thought you were joking (as I did) when you mentioned tire irons. It's extreme, to say the least.

I never met a girl that could change a flat, or even locate the spare in their car.  In the heat of battle these went right for their tire irons.  Can they change the oil and tune their own engines also?

The timing must have been so close on changing the tires for the opening on #24's Rainbow Warrior Team that they couldn't settle it any other way!

At least they didn't draw pistols this time.. Though a clunk on the noggin with a tire iron can end in the same result.

You have to distinguish between LAPD and West Hollywood Police(contracted Sheriffs). The cutoff line is La Brea/Santa Monica. West Hollywood, patrolled by WH Sheriffs is on one side of La Brea, up to Fountain. Hollywood(part of City of Los Angeles and patrolled by Hollywood Station of LAPD) is on the other side.

West Hollywood doesn't have much of a ts sw problem. They used to have a ton behind the Yukon and also on the streets near La Brea. A few years ago, they announced a very public move to clear SM BL in West Hollywood of streetwalkers. So very few ts sw's try to work on SM Bl.

The recent sweeps are being conducted by LAPD and are unrelated to the recent trouble at the Yukon as the Yukon is solidly in West Hollywood, a totally different city.

I will note that the sweeps LAPD is conducting are being touted as part of LAPD Chief Bratton's "broken windows" theory which hypothesizes that if low level street crimes are attacked, violent crime will also fall. While not yet being reported in major media, the theory has been a abysmal failure in Los Angeles. While crime rates overall have fallen since Bratton took over, violent crime including roberies, rape, assaults, and murders have actually increased. IMHO, this is primarily due to the fact that only 350 of the 10,000 LAPD officers are dedicated to gang enforcement, and that LAPD has spent so much time on prostitution enforcement(to marginal avail), a crime that is only a misdemeanor, rarely includes much jail time, and has little relation to other crimes, especially amoung the ts prostitutes.

Not much difference in using a gun or a tire iron as a deadly weapon. One hit from either can kill. One hit from either may not kill.

So...who was fighting anyway?  Why is everyone so close mouthed?  Names?  How did it start?  What was it about?  Did anyone get arrested?  I know it's politically incorrect but, damnit, I want to know.
I was in the main room till closing when I left with my sweetie.  I heard someone say that there was a fight, but I didn't see or hear anything.  It must have been by the back bar or in the way back room.
