I started working independently about six months ago and very quickly had a fair amount of success with a number of repeat and regular hobbyists. Recently, though, I've simply stopped getting new faces. I even did a bit of travelling with significantly less than stellar results. Besides the ever elusive first review, am I missing something?

I am in Chicago and saw your ad and decided not to see you. Here's why; you aren't smiling in any of your photos. I know that seems a bit simplistic but I (and many customers, at least those that I talk to) make decisions based on your photos. To me, no photos with a smile says "I'm no fun". You're very attractive. In fact, the photo with all of your freckles and your very nice breats is great and almost made me call you. Please understand this is just my opinion and perhaps I'm way off or being too honest.
Thanks so much for the feedback. It's kindof funny because, as jovial as I am in person, I *don't* smile in photos much. Or, didn't, rather. I've been doing a little project of snapping a picture of myself smiling every day to get myself more comfortable with it. Whee body dysphoria, but no one here wants to hear about that.
Alas, smiling hasn't been what my photogs have wanted in the past. They all want a more serious/dramatic look. I have a shoot tentatively set for when I get home from Chicago, and I'll be sure to get my grin captured. In the meantime, if you'll pardon the mildly glazed "I've slept three hours in three days" look I had for a hot second, here's the most recent photo (Monday's actually as today's was snapped off the bean and is rather inaccurate). -- Modified on 7/3/2013 2:32:31 AM

I'm wondering if for you (assuming you can only speak for yourself) the damage is already done, or if there is a way to rectify the situation and gain the interest of hobbyists such as yourself who didn't see what you were looking for the first go round?
How much longer are you here in Chicago? Are you planning on staying downtown the whole time? (parking is a pian in the ass downtown!) The damage isn't done, nothing is ever set in stone as far as I go. Can't speak for other hobbyists though...
You look great wether your smiling or not, try Ft.Lauderdale?miami, New York, LA, but if you ever happen to visit the Tampa or Orlando area count me in!
Well, the plan was to stay through the tenth. However, three days into my stay here, I have nothing but a calendar of canceled appointments and am seriously debating staying. I have a room downtown tonight and tomorrow. I unfortunately don't know the surrounding areas well enough to stay anywhere not downtown after that.
I'm currently planning to make a push today and tomorrow. I'll reevaluate the rest of my stay after that and hope it gives me the ability to stay longer.
Is there somewhere outside of downtown that you recommend? A provider friend suggested where I'm at now... But it's a little clear it works for her because she's cis.
The city is OK, but most guys who live in the suburbs don't like to go there for a couple of reasons; the parking is expensive and a pain, traffic (especially on a holiday like the 4th). Staying by O'Hare airport is OK, but you have the same parking issues there as all the hotels charge (alot!) for parking. Many girls stay in Schaumburg by Woodfield Mall. It's close to the expressway and the hotels have free parking. Bonus for you is that there are some nice restuarants within walking (or hotel shuttle) distance, unlike the airport. Oak Brook/ Downers Grove is another nice spot. Not quite as easy to get to but the areas nearby are very, very wealthy so you likely get a better crowd. Maybe I'll see you next time you're in town. (Provided there is a next time...) Also, what's cis?
Thank you . That's the feedback I've gotten from several hobbyists regarding staying downtown. I've been recommended out to Rosemont, a couple other paces I can't recall ATM (Bloomingdale?), and now your recommendations.
I do strongly plan to get back to Chicago. I think location and timing really mucked me about. Detroit celebrates the 4th in late June (in order to combine with Windsor's Canada Day celebration) so I'd completely blanked that this was a holiday weekend. After the heaps of advice everyone's so graciously given me, it'd be a shame to not head back. I need to take care of some things back home first, but I do plan to be back in Chicago sooner than later. I've had a number of people express interest since I left, so hopefully we'll all have more luck when I return. Cis is a prefix and a shortening of "cisgender". So a cisgender woman would a woman whose gender identity matches her birth sex. Also known as a GG, or, ostensibly, all the girls who don't have to list themselves as trans here/eros/wherevs.
