Tried to make appointment with lady who was expensive $$$$$$$$ and asked for a $$$ deposit she sent me a couple videos. What would yo do? I passed because I don’t like paper trails. Anyone comfortable with this type of requests.

I think it's better to walk away than have an ugly situation, leave a paper trail or it could even be worse? There's easily twice as many predators out there scamming men, blackmailing them etc., than just 5-10 years ago. The ONLY time I've sent a deposit is when I've read multiple positive reviews by others who said they did without any problem. I've sent deposits maybe 4 times in 20 years. Recently, I was visiting NY and messaged a known provider, she's well reviewed here and elsewhere. She said since I hadn't seen her before I needed to give her a deposit so she knows I won't waster her time.

Little head thinking got the best of me, I sent $200 (the total negotiated price $600) via Zell and since I couldn't remember my log in to a business account, I sent it from my personal account. She text back saying she has my personal info so I better not post a bad review and let this be a lesson. She had an extremely poor attitude which others have mentioned in reviews, I suspect she's either bi polar and more realistically has developed a substance addiction. I've checked back from time to time to see if it was someone using her pictures with a different number, but nope, it was a provider with 50+ reviews. Reading through them again I noticed a declining level of service.

I would say 90+% of the time little head thinking will get us in trouble. Use the big head, be careful out there and have fun!!

... even better if you would tell us the bizname/phone of this bi-polar or drug addicted jewel charging $600 in return for a miserable attitude so other mates don't blunder into wasting their money on her.

All I do is check out the lady and ask her how much for the evening.  Then bring her the cash, in their currency, if the first couple of minutes with her is good.  Even if I change my mind, I still pay something.
No deposit, other then depositing the cash in her hand.  Which lady was it and where?

I did have one that I didn't check out well enough.  Figured out when I got to her place, that it wasn't going to work out.  She was threatening to sick the local Lawmen on me, in Rio de Janeiro.  You can never over do the research!

Just walk away do not ever pay upfront deposit .

When doing an outcall which will require more than 20 or 30 minutes? Travel time I require a nominal deposit. When booking and incall days in advance, I usually take a deposit especially if it's during a prime time period.
Buuuuuut, These deposits are small. Never more than 10% of the fee. I only take them via Bitcoin or CashApp for new clients to protect their anonymity. I know, I know cash app isn't so truly anonymous, but I assume they've set up a hobby account at least.

The reason I do this is to share a fraction of the opportunity cost of a missed(flaked) encounter.  I don't book in quantity so a missed or bailed session can be pretty costly especially when I've spent time traveling to him.

Before Covid and in another life, I required a much higher deposit,  but with the recent shift in attitudes, probably brought on by the massive increase in OF scammers and such, I've changed my business.

TLDR: No need to take the extreme position that deposits are all scams,  but a large deposit IS a huge red flag.

I agree with earlier comments, I pay and tip for good service.

It’s a hard pass for me. Too many scammers out there.

Looking up reviews or search for the phone number, see if this person has a social media that's active, you should see multiple places where the same person exists for the same number and name. Smalll deposits are required to book with me. Too many no shows make it a requirement now. About 80% of people that contact us have no interest in booking appointments so we do have to use methods to filter those people out. They're just jerking off while talking to us.

Over 2 decades in this hobby
Have seen the whos who of ts, ps, etc.

Never once paid a deposit. Only way i would do it if i saw many reviews saying it was safe to do so. And even then it would have to be some holy grail provider.

Avoid the gals that make you do the deposit.

About the same amount of time for me I've paid a deposit only 3 times. Two of them after reading reviews of others doing the same without any noted problems. They were 6-8 years ago and only $100 each. The third was last year in New York, I let my guard down anxiously wanting to see her and pow got suckered. She had many average and above average even some excellent reviews, none of them mentioned a deposit.

I trusted you represented yourself fairly, travelled to your place, and that you will provide what we agreed upon for the price stated in the ad or our conversation. You need to trust me that I look like my picture and I'm going to show up on time with the money. Otherwise find someone else, even if you're not a scammer.
