Some providers only list an e-mail so that's simple. I say if there's a phone number call her. She knows you'll likely be nervous and awkward, so muddle through the best you can. She'll generally guide the conversation anyway and it gives you an opportunity to hear her and make your own first impression. Just be polite and straightforward. But the first step is to do your research and make sure you find someone well reviewed who provides a session geared towards what you are looking for. Makes no sense to call a top only provider when you don't bottom, obviously a bad fit

If you've read reviews that's a starting point for the conversation and the rest should just flow pretty naturally. In my experience I've found that TS generally don't screen as diligently as GG, but I also think the TS ladies pick up on personality pretty quick. So the key is to be polite and sincere...don't discuss specifics as far as sex or money unless she brings it up first and since you are selecting a well reviewed provider the LE issues are significantly decreased.  Remember she knows you'll be nervous and there's nothing wrong with telling her this is your first time...she'll probably already have figured that out. Just relax and enjoy yourself...make it fun, that's the whole reason you're doing this. Good luck.

in my experience if a phone number and e-mail are listed to still use phone.  Most providers do not check and respond to e-mail at all or very infrequently.  You may also need to leave a msg on their phone with a call back number.

I agree with the previous posted, do your research, for your first time go with someone well reviewed, trying to determine who is real or not is  not recommended for a newbie.  And if you plan on being a bottom plan on giving yourself an enema treatment.
