Searching the Board and Doing Your Homework First

I just read a post and unfortunately it won't make it to the board.  I am always amazed when a person posting, who is not a regular board member decides they need to be critical of the people who put in the most effort here.  Who is that?  Well, I'd have to say its the moderators and the members who participate regularly.

Some people feel like we are employees collecting a check and owe it to them to do their homework for them.  And, if and when we push back, its like the employee of TER has a bad attitude and is not customer friendly.

Well, I feel most everyone here feels just the opposite.  I just wanted to let the bad apple know that his sarcastic and critical posts supporting people who just can't do a little homework on their own won't be published here.

If I ever say "search the board" I already know that an easy five second search will supply what is being asked....why? Because I am familiar with the content that gets posted here.

Example:  How many times have we had 411 requests on Kimber James? Trust me, search as there is plenty of info to help you.

So, run along and play and have a great time here. And be sure to do your own homework first.

And I wanted to thank everyone who supports the board in a positive fashion.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh,  I feel so much better now, how about you?

I'm not a stat Cat, but it seems to me that the general break down of posts here are roughly, 60-70% general 411's, guys asking about topics in general, or more often specific girls who they (so far) have not been able to find any info on.

Maybe another 10-15% Members going out of their way to point out questionable ads and fake photos. 5 to 10% real TS ladies who are just checking in to say hi or announce tour plans.

And then that leaves what, another 10% of posts that are humor or off topic subjects. Somewhere in those numbers are posters who are lurkers, trolls, ladies, or their friends, trying to bypass having no reviews, and just curious souls passing through.

I know that as TS fans, and guys who participate on the board here, are in the minority of ASP hobbiests on TER. But we are a far more polite crowd, and seem to ask better questions, then you find in the general discussion board. Pay attention here, and you pick up some great tips that you will not find in the review section of this site.

But still, the endless 411's get kind of old. I know a lot of guys consider going for a TS experience, but scare themselves off, so that's a part of it, but still. New guys should make an effort, and include links, if they are serious about participating here and helping us help them.

Peace.

And I tend to agree very much so will make the change on my side.

1.  If the drive by poster is lazy, either don't help or send them search how to instructions one time.  Easy to do.

2.  If you post a 411 or make a comment on a provider, always ensure there is something "searchable" in your post. Example:  Link, Provider Name, Phone number.

All great points. Thank you.

One more thing, Dog (I mean that affectionately, and hope it doesn't rub you the wrong way).  I missed your sarcasm on TS Nicole.  My bad.  You said "Not much info, but you'd know that if you searched", and (since she's not really my type, believe it or not) I took that as a factual statement.  My previous "won't make it to the board" comment was meant to say, "Even if you searched and didn't find a lot of information, it doesn't mean there isn't information out there, just that it's NOT REALLY SEARCHABLE".  But I see, by doing my own search, that there's really a lot of information, and you were just being sarcastic.

I understand that it has to get old to be getting post after post requesting information on someone when there is a lot of information available already, if one would take ten seconds to look.  I also understand that posting the same information over and over again would be annoying.

So, my bad on that.  I don't remember what I said, but whatever it was was misdirected.  I missed the sarcasm, and it wasn't my intention to defend the drive-by "feed me" babies.  Even putting names in your posts won't help them, and if I were you, I'd feel no need to respond to their posts even to say "do a search".  For those guys, a canned once-a-day "How to search before asking for information" post should be all the help they get.

For those of us who DO search, I'll repeat again and then shut up about it already, I search on names, and names would make your comment/link posts a lot more valuable.

Thanks again for moderating the forum.  It's appreciated even by an occasional visitor like me.

If searching the board - search for names.  The board search is really useful for topics too - lots of word combinations yield interesting results.  Don't forget to open up the date range on your broader searches.

If searching reviews start with the phone# then maybe the name and sometimes the email yields interesting results too.  Always search for a TS pre-op if that is what you are trying to find.

If searching with google sart with the phone# but be sure and try the name too.  You don't even have to put it in quotes, i.e. "TS Noname"; google seems to have gotten very clever about what I search for anyway ;)

Maybe all this was obvious.  If so sorry for the reminder but all you newbs take note and save the Dog and Cat some valuable time.

Take care,

Thank YOU to Milanoluv and Sancho!!!!!!!!!!!

For example, a few posts down, someone asked about a girl: no link.  So, I ask for a link.  They post: "she is on backpage los angeles"

Duhhhhhhhh.  Bang head against wall.

Mucho thanks to tgirlsrgreat for his comment on that one. :)

On the other hand, I got a wonderful "Thank You" mail message from another poster for having saved him from a fake provider.  So, it balances out nicely on some days.

If they don't take the time to research why take the time to reply to their post. The same jack asses that ask the who's the biggest/best/passable questions never return or supply any useful information or even a Thank you. I think one of the lamest question came from a brand new member asking about our best experience. I get tired of people fishing for jerk off material

But howellthurston, how big was her cock :)  ha ha LOL.  Yep, kinda gets old. If its a genuine question and someone tries to find info, I always try to help.  My blood pressure rises at times when its clearly a jacker perv or someone who wants someone else to give them the info.
