Any suggestions for Santa Barbara?  

I'd ordinarily suggest a search rather like the link I'm posting, but if you click the link, you'll see that the results are sparse, mostly down south of you.

So instead, I'd go for browsing tsescorts, ts4rent, and any others you favor and then checking reviews for ladies possibly visiting Santa Barbara.  Pickin's are indeed slim: ts4rent only shows 4 ladies, tsescorts only 2.  Maybe try some of what I consider (perhaps wrongly) the more fringe sites: transx.com.listcrawler.eu, megapersonals.eu, etc.

It might take a road trip!  Los Angeles is a land of cream & honey.

But you might also share what sorts of ladies you're into: tops? bottoms? hung or average? short? tall?

In general the smaller areas outside of larger areas are hit and miss. You really need to do your homework, yes the sites you mentioned can be a bit more risky but again, it's hit and miss. Take notes so if you travel to that area again and again you'll understand it better and maybe find a rare gem. The main thing is to stay ahead of thinking with the small head, that will usually lead to a negative experience.
