Peanuts on Friday night. Its also called 7969 and its on 7969 Santa Monica Blvd.  I don't think there is anything like it.  I'd make the trip.

Well, there is LIPs off of El Cajon Blvd if you want to see some TSs and CDs providing some fine drag entertainment -- the best I've seen. I went about a week ago for the first time at the behest and company of a beautiful TS woman and I really enjoyed myself. There is also a place on Banker's Hill named "SRO" which supposedly has its share of TS women, but only on certain nights; it's a gay bar otherwise.

I agree that Peanuts in Los Angeles is the place to visit. The "two" hour 138 mile drive is certainly worth it imo.

Awww, don't listen to LATSDog - he's from LA, the smog has affected his reason. :-) :-)  Giggle.

Everyone knows... San Diego t-girls RULE!

There's a bunch of previous posts on this, but in San Diego our bar is the "SRO" on Fri and Sat nights.  5th and Elm downtown. During the week it's more hit or miss.

OK, it's not Peanuts or Divas, with their crowds of uppity porn stars and CL hookers.  But the SRO is the friendliest bar, trans or otherwise that I have ever been in in my life!  And the music is at a volume that you can actually talk to your new friends.

Sometimes Jessica and I make it down around 11 pm for an hour or so.  Give me a call when you come to town and I'll introduce you around - and maybe take you home after?  Hint, hint...  ;-)

There's a couple of other places that have drag nights, but I don't know the current status. Baccuss House, Urban Mos, Lips.

Have fun, hope to see you here.

PS - LATSDog you know I love you!  :-)

Hugs,
TS Jamie :-)

Just dont feel brave and go into TJ.  I have a friend who was there (not on a TS hunt) and got robbed and beat up and it was a very open and populated area.  Good luck.

TJ is fine *if* you either know what you're doing or you're with someone who does.  Safety in numbers.

I go once or twice a month, and the only danger I've really had is from the pinche police.  Don't give in to their hints asking for money and they're (usually) not much of a danger either.

TJ in the tourist areas (even the sex tourist areas) is safer than a lot of downtown LA.

Most weekends I'm up for an evening or overnight to TJ if I'm not headed down there already, if someone wants an experienced guide.  Just buy me a few rounds in return. :)
