Interesting, and quite unique from a club perspective; I get those "looks" if I'm by myself at most typical clubs. Especially in the line outside the door. They look at me like I'm some kind of outcast if I'm solo.
So Peanuts isn't like this eh? Sounds like a one-of-a-kind place
I love this hobbie of ours. I have toyed with the idea of going to peanut to socialize with like minded gents and the ladies however I don't drink and don't like out of control drunks. Years ago I visited a bar in San Diego and had a bad experience. I am far from fobic about drinking to the contrary I enjoy people with a buzz they laugh louder at my jokes. I just wondered how is the atmosphere and is it out of control.
I, as have many, asked the same question once here not too many moons ago. Peanuts attracts all types: ages, colors, ethnicities, lifestyles, et all. With that in mind, it is that diverse group which divorces it from bars with a reputation as nurseries (bars known to attract a younger, thus boisterous crowd), or clubs more fit for those riding hogs. The club is well staffed security wise, and in my three or four visits, I have never seen anything resembling a fight in there. Go for it, have fun (and you will) and concentrate on the women there, and not whether you're going to get into a fight because someone may have looked at you funny.
I'm really overdue for a trip there. That tall oriental girl that kept starring at me the last time I visited has stayed on my mind. ![]()
If only I had known about Peanuts years ago!
I just discovered two months ago, and have been back two times--taking overnight flights to LAX for the sole purpose of visiting that fine establishment. I am not a "club" or "bar person" by any means, but I have never felt more comfortable in a nightclub in my life than at Peanuts.
Friendly staff, nice T-girls, and nice T-girl-admirers are just a few of the reasons I like it there. I felt at home there.
A meal at the Yukon Mining Company at the end of the evening is a must as well. If you don't know why, just go--trust me!
Ahh .. but the Golden question remains unanswered ....
Is it fashionable, or even common, for guys to go alone and unaccompanied? This is certainly the type of establishment that I wouldn't be able to take any of my friends or associates with
...
Thus, when (and if) I do go, It'll have to be solo; and, as of now, that's really the only thing holding me back from visiting.
Are you kidding??? That's the only way guys go there. Evey guy there goes alone. MAYBE they might meet a friend there if they have gone enough to get to know someone, but the norm is all guys fly solo.

I mean absolutely no disrespect at all, but you Southern California dudes are really starting to tickle me with your postings. Full of angst over whether or not to go to Peanuts alone or even to a normal club alone for that matter, falling in love, losing your "friend" and posting all the juicy details of your broken heart. Come on fellows, get in there and slap some ass for the rest of us rooting for you guys. BTW, I like to go to clubs alone, it makes me not rely on a wingman as an excuse for moral support.......
Hi.....new guy here, and I'm just wondering if the Starr currently on CL, in LA, and TS Star are one and the same ?
Planning on my virgin visit to Peanuts tomorrow night. Think I researched most all of the previous posts regarding the club. Anybody have any additional advice/cautions ??
Thanks.
Nik,
Parking is a bitch in that area for one thing, particularly on a Friday night. You can either opt for valet parking (I forget what they charge), or do what I and Outlook have been doing: Park at the parking lot for the Yukon Mining Company (a restaurant where many go after Peanuts closes), and either walk the five or so blocks to the club(15 minute walk tops), or hail a cab for the short ride. Make sure upon entering that your wrist is stamped also. I got into it with a bouncer once who didn't think I paid upon returning from an ATM at a nearby bank halfway through the evening. It all could have been settled much easier had I made sure the guy at the door had originally stamped my wrist entering the place earlier that evening. And don't -- DON'T -- leave if you arrive at 11:00 pm and the place is empty. The place doesn't start to jump until 11:30 to midnight on some Fridays. the action starts late in other words as they all seem to come en masse.
Have fun, and wish I could be there.
The "Starr" name is a pretty common anonym, by the way, so ???
Nope. Sorry. Different girl.
I am not on any escort site... but thanks for asking! ![]()
Another Star
I'm thinking of going as well, but fear of running into someone I know keeps me away...I guess if that person were to feel the same way about me seeing them, it'd be cool, and it would be our little secret, but if they were more comfortable with being at Peanuts, and it would be no surprise for their peers to know they were there, I'd feel wierd...I know, I need to get over it...but I feel what I feel
I am not a frequent visitor at Peanuts but have been known to stop by every so often. During one Friday night as I was ordering a round of drinks at the bar I spied someone who works in the same downtown building as I. I was not sure what to do as we made eye contact - I did not panic but felt a little anxious. I ended up smiling at the gent, hoisting my vodka as a toast, and bought him a drink.
Thank you for the info I will visit for sure, what is the best night? I will be the guy you see and say wasn't he in that movie. I wasn't!
see ya
Mondays and Friday nights are great! I heard those are the only two "TS nights."
If you drink to get a buzz, take a shot or two at home or in the car before you get in the club, 'cause the drinks aren't cheap. (Sorry, I'm a cheap bastard!!! I save my money for my Brasil trips!)
Know that most of the T-girls there are working girls; however, if you've ever wanted to "negotiate" a price for services--this is the place. There seems to be more working girls than male customers there, so you can call the shots. I was there last Monday night and got the hottest chick there for $140. Nice, huh?
Go to Yukon Mining Company after the club gets out to see dozens of T-girs enjoying waffles.

That's only because I wasn't there. LOL
But seriously... yes, most of the girls there are working girls, BUT not all of them are "working". Many just go to unwind or hang with friends so don't get indignant if a girls says she's not working that night, or if she's not into escorting at all.
Some guys get so excited/nervous/scared when they are there, they forget their manners and forget being polite. Just treat everyone with respect and everything should be fine.
Star
from opening (10 pm) until after midnight, peanuts reminds me of a bad high school dance. Except for a few old friends, the guys and the T's eye each other nervously across the room and barely interact, until the 1:00 a.m. show. Then, the disco ball starts spiraling, dry ice smoke whorls the darkened bar, the disco beat intensifies, and the first of three dancers takes the stageto dance two numbers each.
Bring lots of portraits of george w to show your gratitude. and if you want to stuff george under a g string, do it before the dancing girl's top comes off, midway through the second song. LA ordinances forbid touching of a bare breasted entertainer in a place that serves alchohol, and the bouncers enforce this rule. Do not miss gabby. she is beautiful and charismatic and she shakes the place.
After the show the place loosens up and couples start pairing up and heading off into the night streets of west hollywood, but your night at peanuts ends all too soon when the lights go on at 2. The social whirl spills onto the street and then onto yukon; some of it is comraderie, and some is commerce. It's all fun; the glammiest T-scene in the world on a good night
Star is right. Everyone deserves a night off and many working (and non working) T's use fridays and mondays at peanuts for R&R. So do many of the guys who go there. So it would be rude to assume that every T you see at Peanuts is working, or working then, or that every guy there is T-chasing. Peanuts is just a good, safe place to get a rather pricy beer and watch a show (and I don't mean just the one on stage) which is always pretty good and on some nights is incredible.
btw, i am not a VIP and therefore don't have a email access here but if you want to email me use [email protected]
