The point is, a "cut" or circumsized penis will inherently build its own natural defense against a myriad of infections. In the case of HIV, it is possible to contract it if the head gets an abrasion or "rugburn" but if penis head is cut the chances of sustaining an abrasion is sigificantly less, because penis is less tender.

HIV cannot pass through unbroken skin. HIV enters the bloodstream during intercourse through the porous urethra tissue. HIV is .12 microns in diameter and skin provides a barrier to pathogens less than .08 microns in diameter. HIV is too large to pass through skin. Even if you believe the article's theory that circumcision 'toughens the glans' how do you know that this 'toughening' does not increase the skins permiability to pathogens? Perhaps your 'tough glans' is now permiable to pathogens of .12 microns or less due to it's biological alteration. 'Tougher' and 'less permiable' are not synonyms.
As for your 'rug burn' argument: who the hell goes fucking someone while they have a case of rug burn on their cock? This is a lifestyle and sexual practice choice, not a condition inherent to occur simply because one is uncut. Perhaps the lower coefficient of friction of a smoother, less 'tough glans' decreases the incidence of abrasion during intercourse. That avenue of reasoning does not get explored though as it does not support your bias.

Get over the mental weakness of believing everything you read when authors try to hide behind the phrase 'scientific study'. You treat it like Moses, halo beaming bright, decended from Mt. The problem with taking the cicumcision article lightly is it promotes ignorance about a terminal disease and who's to 'blame' for spreading it. Often these 'scientific studies' are politically motivated. It's got little to do with a flap of foreskin or the penis it shrouds.

I doubt the article changed your opinion on the safety issues surrounding circumcision. It didn't change you from an uncut lover to an uncut avoider. Your opinion existed prior to the article.
Historically circumcision was not consistently practiced by Jews during biblical times. Circumcision went in and out of fashion depending on the mandates of different leaders.
The Apostles preached against circumcision as evidenced in Acts 15 1-21 and Acts 21:17-25. Care you to take that biblical advice into account?
