Los Angeles police department requires "escorts" to have a police permit.

Over the past couple of years, LAPD valley bureau vice along with LAPD organized vice and crime has taken a "no tolerance" approach to vice related crime in the SF valley. This includes busting all AMP's, stings at strip clubs(most valley strip clubs are financed by the armenian or russian mafia and so are many of the escort services and porn industry). They also busted places for serving alcohol to minors(ie not checking id) including Ralphs grocery stores and Chuck E. Cheeses. Needless to say, there is not a lot left to go after. No more AMP's in the Valley, no more alcohol related crimes, no more sw's on Sepulveda or Lankershim.

So the cops can work more in dangerous areas like 77th and southeast, where there is lots of sw and vice related crime, or these guys can stay in the relative safety and comfort of the valley by basically making up shit. They went after Deja Vu North Hollywood where nothing was going on...at least not compared to the strip clubs in City of Industry. I suspect they also tried to target eros ads especially those with a long time presence like KD. I'm pretty sure they gave KD a break by only getting her on the permit thing....but its possible they didn't want to attempt to solicit a ts(LAPD can get neked now, legally).

Its unfortunate because I was hoping to see KD again, but I guess not to be.
