TS or TV?

I sometimes see TS's adds that say they are all natural no hormones. Without hormones they wont develop breasts or womanly curves. I've seen some get breast implants but they still have manly nipples. So without hormones aren't they really just a TV/CD? Whats your opinion? I'm not referring to TS's that stopped using hormones after their body changed.

You are right I think about this, but a TV does not equate to a bad time with a manly person. I would recommed Juli-ette TV from eros chicago. Yes, she has no breasts and the nipples are small (so are some GG for that matter) but she is truly the best of all worlds.

Could not find a TER Profile – didn’t look any further than TER/Eros on this one though.  Sorry Chicago, according to the website - flying south for the winter (or at least part of it):

14-15 Jan - Sarasota
16-19 Jan - Tampa
20-21 Jan - Orlando
22-23 Jan - Ft. Lauderdale
24-26 Jan - Miami

Juliette looks stunning but I could not find any review of her online at all.

I don't think there are any. I have seen her and privately talked with another hobiest who has seen her. I took one for the team that for once turned out to be a home run.

A TS is technically a subdivision of a TV.  TV's are a higher, broader category in which TSs belong.  A TV (transvestite) dresses in clothing gender prescribed for the opposite sex, yet does not denote feelings of belonging to the opposite sex.

Uh.... that's not quite right.

TG (transgender)is the "umbrella", broad term that TS, shemale, CD, TV and even TG fall under.

Much like I could call you a human (even broader category), that would not nullify your status as a transsexual.  CDing (crossressing) sometimes has nothing to do with gender roles, but merely the tactility of clothing causing sexual arousal.

Do you have a better source than Wikipedia that codifies the labels for Transgenderism?  Wikipedia is all user submitted content and research quality varies wildly from entry to entry.  Using Wikipedia as a source of reference is only as accurate as using this board as a source of reference.

Hi, perhaps some input from a transsexual would help? Consider it my "expert" opinion.  [giggle]  It's kinda long, sorry.

THIS IN NO WAY IS OFFERED AS A FINAL WORD - though they are farily close to the definitions offered in the "Benjamin Standards of Care" for transgendered persons. (The TS doctors "manual" if you will.) So please don't send me hate mail if you disagree.

TRANSGENDERED is the umbrella term most gender variant people use to include the entire range from post-op TS to crossdressers or even overly femme guys. It includes people born male who wish to be women and girls who live as men.

Please remember as you explore gender and sexuality (two separate but related issues) it's all fluid and different people see themselves and others differently.

TS - "transexual" is generally accepted to be someone who considers themselves mentally and emotionally to be of the opposit sex, born into the wrong body.  Some of us take hormones and have various surgeries to bring our physical bodies more into line with our brains.

A TS can be pre-op, post-op or NON-op.  A TS is "usually" on hormones and often has implants and other surgeries to obtain a more feminine body. Some, not all have sex change surgery. There are no hard and fast rules. Each person is different.

TV - "transvestite" is generally considered to be a person who gets an erotic response from wearing female clothing, or enjoys acting femme, or someone who prefers to appear or even live as a female. But is NOT on hormones and does NOT consider themself to be living in the wrong body.

Think Frank Marino in Las Vegas the famous female impersonator.  (I think he considers himself a gay guy who does female roles.)

So as you can see TS or TV are in some ways interchangable and sometimes not.  Best to ASK someone their preference.

And like with non-trans people a TS/TV may prefer to have sex with men, women, both or neither. They may consider themselves straight or bi or gay - and it may change.

I used to consider myself a hetrosexual woman in a man's body even though the mainstream would call me gay.  Then I decided I was bi.  Now, because I've been in a relationship with another TS for a year and a half I relate as a bi/lesbian who loves men.  Right...

CD's are usually considered to be straight married men who get an erotic "rise" from wearing women's clothes, often with their wifes, or with TS/TV's.

BUT - that doesn't mean every guy who wears his wifes panties (or mine) to bed is a CD, they may  just be men having a little sensual fun - and that's what this is all supposed to be about right?  Fun.

You are who and what you "think" you are.

Finally, A "drag queen," is a male who effects a grossly femme appearance and stereotypical attitude, usually for theatrical reasons.  They are a lot of fun to be around.  In a gay bar...

So OK, I hope this helps confuse the issue further. [giggle]

Guys, give up on the hair splitting and just enjoy yourselves with whoever you like no matter what you call her.

Transvestite is largely considered to be a derogatory term (as is Shemale cough cough) by many in the trans-gendered community. Generally TV refers to someone who gets a sexual charge from dressing up but lives their life in their proscribed gender role.

One can be Trans-gendered but choose not to take hormones or physically transition for many reasons, and still live as trans gendered. Hell, its a requirement in the Harry Benjamin Standards before hormones can be prescribed. Psychologically  these girls (or guys, don't wanna leave out the ftm's) are not really any different than their TS counterparts.

TV's on the other hand are generally men who live as men, and get turned on by dressing/acting like women.

Does that make any sense?
