She told me that Il Gato negro was a trashy place. I checked it out anyway and she was totally right. What I saw was awful. Eva likes Hydrate, which is a gay bar where a lot of tranny's apparently like to go after midnight. I went there also, but was too early in the evening for the TS crowd. I also don't like to hang out anywhere there is a lot of smoking, so I left.
There just isn't any place that I can find in Chicagoland where a staight man can meat a TS in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Others are making the same point on the forum at hungangels.com also. Here TS Rachel recommends Berlin, but that is another smokey dance club.
This lack of a nice low key meeting place is really sad. The TS girls I have encountered so far are such wonderful people. It stands to reason - any person who goes to that much trouble to be what she wants to be has to be a very special individual indeed. Being over 50 I am well past the hormonal stage of my life. I would love to develop PLATONIC friendships with some of them - Eva included - but that is difficult to initiate when one first meets them as a paid escort.
I was initially kinda put off by your post but after re-reeading I see you mean no harm you just came off a bit condescending.
There are plenty of TS who do not live the stereotypical life but if you you look in the stereotypical places guess what you're gonna find.
Its kinda hard to find TS living normal I would suggest you look in the phone book for Transgendered organizations in your area. They sponsor events perhaps you could attend or you could get in by volunteering your time.
There are discussion groups on Yahoo and such for TS living more regular lives. Good luck.
