Does anyone remember when that area used to be one huge spot for cruising for after-hour street providers on the weekends? There used to be a few pretty hot Latin T-girls mixed in with a lot of not-so-hot ones around those couple of square blocks just a few years ago. Where did they all go? Do they still hang out in the parking lot of the Yukon?
Someone posted all of the Latin TS spots awhile back on Craigslist and we posted the link here. I am sure its gone. The Yukon is closed. All of the TS girls who would hang out in bars and walk around are now east of Western on Santa Monica and its not that good of an area. I also was told they hang around the Silver Platter, another not so good area. Drive down SantaMonica Blvd around 1am on a Fri night between Gower and Vermont and I think you may see some but there are dark streets and lurking dudes just hanging out. Its trouble waiting to happen if you ask me.
I don't hear anybody talking out HP, probably because they think the area is bad... But if you go there near Pacific and Florence just about every evening, but especially weekends it looks like Hollywood in the good ol' days.
Yes, it is actually great at nights between 10PM-midnight. There is a handy cafe/confectionary shop as well. The area is not so bad, and it's got a few motels that rent rooms for about $60/night.
HP = Hungtington Park, right? Is it TS girls or a mix? LE hot there? The reason I ask is I'd love to check it out on a sane night and have no intention of stopping but would like to check out the scene.
