during the day, I'd say you are pretty safe.  I have been there a few times as well. I brought this up once. About two years ago, I was at a bar, partying it up, decided to hook up. I go there, the taxi drops me off 1/2 block away for some reason. I walk up the sidewalk and this car speeds into the parking lot and a yellow taxi follows, bumper to bumper. Two undercover LE get out of the taxi with guns pointed at the other car. freaked me out.  By the way, if you need an apt, they have a sign outside that says "Just Leasing"
