Cat, you make several valid points. i myself have to face the embarrassment of a failed session by a local fake provider, because i was too horny and tried to make the most of a session despite being so totally turned off by her actual appearance and despite her using another escort's pic in the ads at the time.

Now What's unique about this fake provider i encountered is that she will also uses her own photos at times but will switch up to use fake MUCH MORE glamorous, better looking photos to lure prey (like me) into her web.

i disappointed myself cuz i should be experienced enough to know better and i have walked out on scamming potential providers before.but unfortunately i didnt this time around.

And another one of the biggest harm of fake providers is that the NEW providers that are legit will not get the business flow they deserve because so many clients are too afraid of being ripped off by these fake scam artists.
and if i know of a faker, i should have review it
to help others, no matter how frustrated, disappointed or embarrassed i was.

Even to this day, i myself admit to being skeptical about new ad pics because the  number of fake pic ripoff nowadays seems on a mass breakout wave like never before.

I have to agree with Melissa in the thread down below, although she's a wee bit direct.  But, that's one of the things I love about her! :)

I also greatly admire Buffalo Soldier for having the guts to post about his mistake.  He's laid himself open for the benefit of the board members.  So, we should really appreciate him for doing this!

Lessons Learned:

1.  Research can only go so far.  It helps a lot!  But, in the end, it's not 100%.

2.  Gauging the provider's tone on the phone can help a little, but it's no where near 100%.

3.  Arriving is "Seeing is Believing."  There is no substitute for this.  It's 100%.

4.  Walking out on a no good, thieving, fake provider: priceless.

Dudes, if you're having trouble walking out on a jerk-off, fake provider, then think about this:

You are helping that thief steal money from honest providers who are trying to survive.  That makes you an accomplice.  Get it?

Think about the honest providers who make $1,500 on a trip vs. the $5,000 a fake-ass provider makes.  Do you think I'm kidding?  It's really that drastic of a difference.  Why?  Because lunkheads pay up and then bitch about it.  These fake thieves do not give a rat's ass about you.

Have it straight up, figured out, front-and-center in your mind!  If you're going to an unknown, you MUST be mentally ready to walk or run.

Prepare:

1.  Do you have a throw-away hobby phone?  Christ, for $30 or less, you can use one for your "unknowns."  So what if they threaten you?  Throw the phone away.  Wouldn't you rather lose $30 instead of being a lunkhead who pays $200?

2.  You don't give your real name to an unknown.  Did you guys get that?  Unknowns don't use real names, why should you?

Honest-to-goodness providers like India, Melissa, Rachel, Lee, and so on are totally cool and so absolutely worthy of our honesty and respect.

Don't you think they also deserve our respect by walking out on a fake provider?

Thanks tsCAT99, I like your idea of a prepaid throw away hobby phone. That is a good idea.

I can relate to Buffalo Soldier, I've had some bad travel dates myself. But, the guy isn't a rookie to this, so he should be prepared for this. You can't win em all. It's part of being a TS fan, and sometimes, without any reviews, you just have to take a chance and hope things work out. I think it was pretty cool of the LADOG to do what he could to help out though. I will be checking out TER mobile the next time I travel for a date.

The thing I think that tsCAT99 mentions here about walking out of a bad date is worth further comment though. I've never walked out of a date, but I've wanted to a few times.

On the client side, being mentally prepared to walk sounds good. But I can recall some previous provider posts here that make anyone who actually does have second thoughts a total Ahole for actually doing it.

Anyway, thanks for the throw away phone idea. I will try to get one today, as I am seeing another lady tomorrow that I could find no reviews here for.

Walking out is a potentially dangerous thing because of the probability of threats of physical abuse, among other things.

Fake providers are counting on the client being so intimidated that they give them the money.  That's called extortion.

Fake providers also count on clients being too embarrassed to leave.

Fake providers also rely heavily that the client will be too horny to leave.

Fake providers are, simply, dangerous.

Clients tend to be uninformed and mentally unprepared.  Even the experienced clients can be taken off guard.  Clients also tend to be submissive to the perceived authority of a provider: i.e., the provider has what the client wants.  They "tend" to be.  Definitely not everyone.

So, if you're in a situation where you know you're taking a risk on an unknown, does anyone ever think about what they will do if the provider isn't honest?  Always have a way out.  It's safer.

I'd say, most of the time, the client is thinking about having sex and not about having to stand up to a fake provider.  The confrontation can be uncomfortably surprising, catching anyone off-guard.

I just wish we could stop the thieves from stealing from truly awesome providers. :)
