There is of course a risk with anything. And until everyone can be in a position to test prior to contact the best we can do is keep the risk down.
The way to lower the risk is, use protection. Don't play with drug users or while high. Don't kiss people with oozing sores on their lips... Know you you are sleeping with as much as you can. And GENTLEMEN - stay out of bathouses, XXX theaters, etc.
The alternative is to live like a guy I have known since Jr High. We lived about 5 houses apart 1/2 our lives and are still aquaintances. The guy is terrified of getting AIDS.
As a result he hasn't had sex with a man or woman in over 20 years. He thinks I and anyone having sex outside of a monogamous marriage is insane. Yet he's become a recluse and literally driven himself crazy.
So let me ask, do you live a full life, or the best life you can live according to your circumstances, even if it means perhaps dying early. Or do you isolate youself until you go insane from loneliness.
