After reading a few recent threads I think maybe it's time once again for an educational post, said a little differently this time.
I think a lot of gentlemen get confused with the difference between a prostitute and an escort. With the advent of the internet and cell phones the line has blurred.
It used to be easy to tell the difference through price alone. If you were paying $20 you knew you were with a prostitute, and if you paid $200 she was an escort. Or if you met her on a street corner you knew she was a prostitute, and if you called her newspaper ad and she came to your room, she was an escort. (Hence the term "call girl.") LOL
So much for the simpler times - now clarifications for 2010.
A prostitute is after one thing - your money - as fast and as much as can be removed from your possession, by any means necessary. A prostitute is someone you see while keeping your money in your sock, keeping your socks on, and keeping your back to a wall.
As a means to an end a prostitute dangles sex as the bait. But sex is not what she is looking for. Sometimes she has to actually "put out" a little to get your money, but it will be short, impersonal, and reluctant. Her goal is to get you in and out as quick as possible. If you want more than one shot, you need to feed the meter again.
Sadly the majority of TS escorts seem to be prostitutes. I'm sorry for you guys, because after you are treated poorly so often you come to the conclusion that all TS's are only after your money, when there are a number of really great girls out there who enjoy meeting new people and having fun with what they do.
An escort - or a world class "courtesan," is totally different. You are not paying an escort for sex. You are paying for her time and companionship for a pre-determined period. You are paying to be pampered. You are paying to relax in safety. You are paying for discretion. You are paying for intelligent conversation, and maybe a dinner companion. You are paying with the assumption that you will not be going home alone. LOL
Sex is often in the equation, but it is not a guaranty. Nor is sex always desired. I've had guys just want to meet a "real" TS for dinner and learn about us. I've had guys pay me to go to the zoo, or to just hang out at our place and use our jacuzzi and play pool with our friends.
And you are paying her to leave afterward.
You are (usually) paying an escort/courtesan for a GFE "girlfriend experience." What that means to me is a date with an escort should be like a date with any other girl. Of course not all such dates are going to include going out to dinner and a movie, but even if it's just a private time in a motel room it should "feel" like a date.
Now gentlemen, what you have to understand is that it's not always easy for a girl to reach the level of being a true world class courtesan. An escort first and foremost must be an actress. It's her "job" to ensure you have a great time - even if she isn't. It's her job to make you feel like you are the greatest guy in the world - even if it's not true. It is her job to make you forget that she is an escort, to leave you with the feeling of having had a fantastic time with a girlfriend. It is her job to make your time together so good that money isn't even a factor.
Ahh, now we come back to the money. Price is no longer a determining factor. You can pay $400 and get a street level prostitute. Or you can pay $400 and have a fabulous time with a world class courtesan.
How can you tell the difference? You can't. The only way is via reviews, word of mouth, forums, and personal contact with the girl. But you can generally expect that your chances will be better with a well reviewed, well educated, well known girl. And the rule that you get what you pay for is still true to some extent, in that a quality date doesn't come cheap.
OK - now get out there and go have some fun!
Giggles,
TS Jamie
