I wonder if this country will ever get back to being "The Home of the Brave" instead of "The Land of Bed-Wetting, Pants-Shitting Cowards." After Pearl Harbor, we (eventually) rallied as a nation and helped win World War II. After 9/11, we crawled underneath our beds, squeezed our eyes shut, and pissed our pants in fear (and we're still doing it to this day). When did the American mindset shift from courage to cowardice?

It's a lot easier to fight back when the enemy isn't our own government bent on keeping the population afraid so they can take away more and more of both our liberty and our money.

Uneducated fantasies about a storybook past ruined by phantom government conspiracies (not the real ones like, we're not going to consider any supreme court nominees proposed by a democrat but, rather, phantom conspiracies about foreign-born presidents coming for our gun rights) and scary dark hordes pouring over our borders and perverting our values. It's not a "broad generalization" when this country is on the verge of possibly electing a Cheeto-faced, ferret-wearing, tiny-handed fascist shitgibbon thanks to his constant message of bigotry, racism, misogyny, hatred, and xenophobic fear. We've been traveling down this road since 9/11 (hell, we started on this path with the coronation of Saint Ronnie Ray-gun), and Herr Tantrumfuhrer is the direct end result.

And that should clarify whether or not I'm a "Trump fan."

The overwhelming majority of the politically correct faithful would hate living in many of the cultures that their dogma asserts are just as valuable to humanity as the Western European culture they enjoy living in …

Death if guilty of apostasy,
State sponsored religion,
Government control over procreation,
Restrictions on unaccompanied females in public,
Acceptance of govt. policy asserting that HIV-AIDS is not a virus,

… are a few ‘cultural enrichments’ around the globe that immediately come to mind.

They dupe the deaf and blind masses here and in Europe into thinking that massive immigration from these cultures will cause the new arrivals to miraculously change ways of thinking and behavior that have been ingrained in them over the centuries.  If you took the time to listen to the link, you would have realized how mistaken this assumption is.  In fact the opposite is the case, particularly so when the existing culture extending the invitation is as self-loathing and guilt ridden as Europe and the U.S. is.  Perhaps believers of this delusion feel a perverse pride and nobility of being magnanimous in allowing huge, un-vetted influxes of people.  But living in accordance with western liberal values is as foreign to many immigrants as sand dunes would be to fishes.

The politically correct cannot handle the truth: that a society which values personal freedom and respect for others must be intolerant of those who despise such values.

As for the rest: after last night, I dare one single person to seriously tell me that I was painting with a broad brush, that this country couldn't possibly go down the road of fear and hatred that Germany did in the 1930s. With the election of Trump, I truly fear for the lives, safety, and civil rights of all our favorite TS ladies (and not so favorite, too; they're human beings who'll be just as affected by all this as the rest of us), and the LGBT population in general (not to mention, people of color, Muslims, etc.). "Our long, national nightmare is just beginning," to paraphrase Gerald Ford. We committed suicide as a country last night, and if anyone thinks they're going to get out of this unscathed, they've got a rude awakening coming.

Okay, that's it from me, I promise. On to more pleasant things!  

The L.A. Times reported ...

"In Oakland, demonstrators smashed a window at the Oakland Tribune newsroom and ignited trash containers and tires, police said. ... The crowd broke windows on five businesses and vandalized another, said Oakland police spokeswoman Johnna Watson. One citation was issued but no one was arrested, she said."

Yeah, these Trump supporters are acting like Nazis, and the police stood around and did nothing just like in 1938 Germany!

Oops ... Uh, wait a sec. The article goes on to say "Protesters also burned Trump in effigy, KNTV reported."  My mistake.  Looks like these enlightened citizens were actually Clinton supporters "protesting" the results of a free democratic election.  Well that doesn't really support the politically correct script, does it?  Sorry about that.

But perhaps it's not all bad.  Some deserving folks maybe gotten a free flat screen TV and a bottle of booze to enjoy while watching sports.
