Yes, that was my point.  If you use your name and go to your family Dr with the ole Insurance Card, things may not work out in the long run if you tested positive.

Excuse my ignorance fellas but I've never been tested before but when I get one, do i specifically ask for HIV or STD test ?? or is that all done together.

And do they get blood or urine samples?

I'm delaying this for the longest time. Never fond of seeing the doctor.

So, HIV is the big one, right?  You can order tests online or even go to a drug store and get one.  You can do urine or blood, prick your finger and fed ex the sample in and have results in a day or two.  There are many on the market.

I have an HMO for insurance and a Dr. actually told me it is better to get tests through alternate means, not involving your insurance company.  If for any reason, you turned up positive I guess they do everything in their power to try and drop you or increase the rates.

These tests go to the same labs that the hospitals use.  Good luck and wrap it!
