This week in EROS by the Numbers........

Only the third time in the 15 weeks I've been keeping statistics--total numbers dropped below 900.  This time, it's an all-time low of 871, beating the previous low of 885.

Since these statistics have never been kept before, we have no way of knowing if this is a natural trend or an effect of the economic times.

Plus, these are just EROS numbers, which is a more expensive method of advertising.  During tough times, it's likely more girls are turning to more affordable advertising options.

However, if this is the case, it's still noteworthy.  Some people like to shop at Wal-Mart to find the cheapest price they can; others shop at malls, where they are more likely to discover higher quality.  Still others shop at even more specialty, high-quality stores.

EROS, as a mall, can be said to have a higher percentage of quality girls than the Wal-Mart of advertising like CL or Backpage.  However, that said, I've exposed plenty of fakes on EROS even though it's a lot of money to spend on a fake ad.

If we are seeing a reduction in higher quality advertising, it is theoretically possible that the field could narrow (in the favor of the client).  Only the best of the best will thrive in such economic times, and that makes it easier to find the real jewels.

It could also mean that boards like this one on TER will become even more significant as greater scrutiny than ever is applied to the providers.
