Having said that, I rather expect that everything can just drift up toward the "dating" section.

Yes, I've used the alternate sites you mentioned, but BP (in my area at least, San Jose, CA) seemed to have more TG users, and it's always had the advantage of being up-to-date - with many ladies doing lots of travel, I'm often asking, who is nearby TODAY (or tomorrow) when I've got a sufficient bouquet of roses and the inclination.

Personally I only use Eros and TER, and keep up a P411 profile so this won't effect me at all. I assume the ads will simply shift away to one of many other alternative English sites. My first reaction to the news was what will happen to the Asian Backpage ads. Backpage acts as one of the go to places for English speakers over seas... well at least in countries without a centralized red light district. In some countries almost all of the local alternative sites do not cater to none native speakers at all. So... I just checked Backpage Shanghai, Seoul and Tokyo, all 3 are up and running. It's only blocked in America for now, and it will have much bigger effect if the trend hits overseas.

I got a lot of clients from BP, mainly first timers and young guys... Good clients, I usually try to ask "where'd you see my ad?" 50% came from BP..  This is a huge hit to the volume of calls Ill be getting... TBH, I feel like if BP were to verify their ads in their adult sections, and only post ads of verified providers they wouldn't be in this mess...

I published in any city **THE*** single most clean, mature, well written, and distinctively forthright and honest pages out of literally thousands of listings, and have been rewarded for it *countless* times by good, kind, and sincerely seeking people that may not even know of the TER, or EROS, much less the other sites like P411 and date-check and etc etc etc....  

BP has also become known for honorably assisting LE in breaking down child sex trafficking networks and willingly assisting in the apprehension of dozens of criminal pimps, abusers, and traffickers, and working directly with Orgs like Children of the Night to save lives and reduce harm, and so much more.... and Yes, - it also became a hotbed for more fakes, flakes, and ripoffs than anyone could count, and i am sure if they (BP) had ever had the idea or ability to do any verification of posters, maybe some of this would have been delayed or stopped....  

...But in the larger scheme of our society and now, once again, in the legislative dictation of "proper moral and ethical values", This is even more criminal. Insane. ill-conceived, and shallowly dictated for reasons so hypocritical and far from the reality of our lives and struggles that it literally begs to be questioned at every social and legislative level possible. This and other actions like this over time will place thousands more struggling and vulnerable people at even higher risk due to the removal of such prominent and well known venues.  

Just raging. Venting. Crying in sheer frustration. Disgusted. In shock. Breathless. Feeling exasperated, and wondering how in the world to help overcome yet another social and legislative obstacle to those of us (including myself at one time) that may have nothing more than their bodies and minds and a few dollars in their pockets to survive by, if they are lucky enough to even keep those basic items intact, and free of drugs, psychos, abusers, pimps, traffickers, abusive or cold-hearted LE, and worse.

Funny you bring this one up.....Back in the Yukon days, that parking lot had about six + newspaper boxes......At about the same time, the LA Express had these beat up boxes screwed to almost every corner in LA.  The city cracked down because they were not permitted and in about a month, most of them were removed.  Back in the day, which really is not too far back. the LA Express had over 3 pages of TS ads.  Today, they have less than 1/3 of one page.  While many of the ads during the day when 3+ pages existed might have been airbrushed or fake, now there are only a few choices.

80% of backpage ads where fake anyways, the fact that is gone does not affect me in any way. I have many regular clients plus always advertise on Eros, p411 and Ter

Color me guilty...I've used Eros and BP exclusively for finding the right (and often wrong) providers, and TER has strictly been for checking/giving reviews.  
So after reading this thread, I now learn that there are regional ads for providers...but not seeing any TS providers advertising. Am I missing something, am I in the wrong spot?  
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Eros, though, is as sparse as ever. Pretty much given up on them. BP is still a minefield of fakes, but I've gotten pretty good at spotting those, and besides, I generally stick with my few tried and true gals these days anyway (I know I'll have a good time, and I'm not risking getting ripped off, or worse).

As for the BP censorship, when will politicians learn that doing things like this is essentially playing Whack-a-Mole? That every time they knock one down, providers just pop up someplace else? Or maybe it's more like HYDRA: "Cut off one head, two more take its place." Hail HYDRA!
