Since retirement from the hobby, for the old men was mentioned, what about the ladies?  I saw where there was some of the T-ladies doing their thing in the 1980s.  So they might be having to retire, or they're switching to other types of work.  However, if a lady has the fountain of youth, then more power to her.  I'd love to go back to being 18 years of age, and to know what I know now!

It's an interesting topic, but might be a bit shocking or sad to those who engage trans escorts or date trans women.  

Many do indeed become destitute, at least somewhat so. There's zero pension or social security benefits in any cash occupation and most have to pay for so many things out of pocket to begin with so they're not able to save for the future or retirement very easily. Some save a bit and return to Europe, Central or South America where the money exchange is greater and they have family or friends they can live with. Some get into the beauty industry; doing hair, make up and or nails. Some do well with female impersonator shows. Some get an education to become a nurse or other medical/health related occupations, I've seen a few become realtors and do very well. Some only do it long enough to pay for an SRS or GAS and go on to lead much more "normal' lives.  

Overall, I would say the statistics are low that many earn beyond a lower class income level after escorting. They often have other problems, social injustices, racism, bigotry, hatred, getting harassed, beaten and even killed. I believe black men killing black trans women is one of the highest among those kids of stats. But it also happens in the Spanish and Latino communities as well. They experience a much higher amount of jealousy, envy, insecurity and then rage with their boyfriends sometimes even husbands. I think another high statistic is trans women killed by a BF, a husband, or a male family member.

While things have gotten better there is such a long way to go for most trans people. For those who enter the sex industry, it's NOT at all an easy life. The 5-10-15-20 year period they escort is usually the peak of their income. Sure, there's exceptions but not many. You won't find many MTF trans women much past their 60s-70s. Again, it's not an easy life regardless if they're able to make big bank while they're escorting...

Okay we need to have a reality check. These ladies started as men, so what happens when they lose their hair and go bald?

A number of them already wear wigs. If they are not already, then fair chance they will get one. If going bald is their only worry, I don't think there's much to be worried about. I think they would be more concerned if their looks were to fade, and that can happen to anyone, not just T ladies.

They could get the gut, just lose that womanly figure too. Buddy half the time I’m on here just to stir the pot.

Good Morning to you.  About being offensive,  would you rather have us lie to you?  I prefer to say what I really think or see.  If what I say offends, than sorry, but I will not lie to keep from offending someone.  I want folks to be honest, whether it offends me or not!  For some folks the truth does offend.  I would rather here someone say this or that is wrong and here's why, then to just here it's "offensive".  And I think most of us try to do "better".

This is not directed at any one person, but if this is offensive to you, then it probably applies. Most of us were taught a simple rule; if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. If you don't know then error on the side of caution. Learn to express subjects with some class and dignity for all involved. People who engage escorts are not superior or at a higher level. The unfortunate facts are statistically they live a more challenging than non-trans people. The few that still make bank into their 50s 60s + are few and far between.

But the next thought is, how many men would take a trans woman as a life partner? Let's exclude those who didn't make their bank in the sex industry like; Caitlin Jenner, popstar Kim Petras or trans super model Candis Cayne and so on.

Yasmin Lee seems to be at a similar economic level but this is from various online sources, not like their taxes are exposed. While statistics vary, if approximately 10% of the 7.9 billion people are in the LGBT community, about 2% are trans, about half of them are MTF. 1% = 79 million MTF trans people in the world, half under 18 half over 50. Of the 40 million in the world, how many are making big bank in the sex community or elsewhere and living a lush retirement?
