I think you go above and beyond on a regular basis.  Your reply on the Lola Malone 411 showed incredible patience.  I would (and have) ripped that individual a new orifice for asking a question like that, but patience isn't one of my strengths.

Do whatever you want, but when it gets to be too much don't hesitate to ignore people who have obviously made no effort.

Ok, quick question and I will start with a couple of disclaimers.  I can't tell you how many posts I see about 411 requests when absolutly no research has been done and/or someone posts some generic note asking for input on a girl but does not provide a link, nada?

I realize some of this may be from new posters or non vip members.  If thats the case, I will do my best to remain calm and help :)  But if they are not new or have really not made an effort, what should I do? :)

Never approve it to even hit the board?

Re-direct them to post more info?

Keep doing what I am doing and go banannas?

Don't worry, I'm not trying to cause an outburst here but it does get old when people just dont even try to find the info.

They sure seem to suck up the front page space though.

And they never report their findings, if any.

And as a moderator, some of this comes with the territory, so know it will never go away all together, but some days......I just wonder if anyone even tries to search the review section?  grrrrr.

When I was not moderator, I gave TS Tempted a hard time but now I understand.  My role is 100 percent volunteer. The reason I do it is I enjoy providing good input and feedback/help.  Thats all.

I do wish there was a bit more discussion on this here discussion board...and not just asking about a certain gurl without adding any relevant info or comments, let alone a link.

btw...I think you do a really good job here as moderator, LATSDog.

I'd ignore regular posters that do not contribute info and only take. I'd ignore posters that don't follow up after they ask a question. Ignore the ones that don't show effort or ask a question that was recently asked.
Pick and choose questions that are of interest to you.

Just put NMI short and simple

NMI=need more info

I'd be ok with it never hitting the board.  Depending on how often and flagrant their requests are as moderator you can choose or not to pm them with a standard followup that they need to do their own due diligence.   LATS.....you do a super job here!  Thanks

There are those who are tech challenged !
Possibly create a "box" to outline the steps to search before requesting help .
Not making excuses unless a lack of exp. is an excuse.

They may be a newsence to you, but I love your responses. Between thier dumb question and your well thought out and reserched answer they generaly make for an interesting post. I know its a lot of work for you but I for one really apprecate it. Thanks!

No sub boards..thats just more work for LATSDog :)  I'll just start being a little more strict on what I approve.  Sending them back to the well to do some research.

While the posts can be annoying, at least it prompts me to see what other guys find appealing.

I appreciate your help, and I think that some, I say some, maybe barely computer literate, or they don't have VIP, and then some are just wanting someone else to look-up info. It will never change, and as someone who takes or tries to take the steps to search for reviews, it is sometimes hard (no-pun) to get it. Thanks again for your help LATSDog, you are a trooper.

I, too, would like to see more discussion, but I'm a newbie, so my discussion questions have probably already been answered. (I better do a search!)

I support your concern about 411 requests.  Part of the fun of being an explorer is fully researching options, and then making an informed decision.

I think you should not post obviously non-researched 411 requests.  There are many ways to research, and not to require this takes up your time and also reduces the value of this section for all of us.
