If you are not seeing an actual porn star, what is different about a PSE?

15 yearsish ago the ps scene was very accessible and still affordable. I was a bit of a snob for a couple of years and would only see porn gals. I also figured it was safer, because i figured at least these gals are getting tested to shoot for evilangel, etc.  

I've personally never taken "PSE" in an ad to be a claim that the provider is an actual porn star with published movies or videos or whatever.  I seem to recall that "PSE" started cropping up in AAMP ads many, many years ago.
The AAMP ads as I recall made a distinction between GFE and PSE, and sometimes would claim a provider to be "GFE+PSE".
