I am close to 60 and have never been turned down. I always inform them of my age and physical description up front. Most say they prefer an older gentleman.
I have noticed if you surprise them with it they sometimes are not as much fun.............

don't know about the heavyset approach, but quite a few prefer more "mature" gentlemen.  i think a little less demanding and probably more disposable income and maybe just a little more comfortable in likes and dislikes.

The best thing to do is tell them your age when you contact them. I'm in my fifties and I haven't had a problem so far.

It's been my experience that shelling out $300 makes me look much younger.
