I do the same thing when someone make an appointment and he didn't tell me that he will not come I save his number with the name: Liar don't answer" and I never give a 2nd chance either.
So I made an appointment with a lady earlier in the day for after my softball game. It would be over a little after 10 and I was about an hour away so told her I wouldnt get there until a little after 11. She said fine. Well during the course of my game something came up where I wasnt going to be able to make it. So as soon as my game was over I called her and told her. She got mad and said you have to come or I would need to compensate her somehow. I am thinking i didnt even have to be nice enough to call. I could have just not shown up. Then she says shes going to put my number on some dangerzone.com website. Was I that out of line? I mean as many times as I have been ripped off by the girls I cant believe what I was hearing. And I really wanted to see her too. She had pretty good reviews. Just want to here other opinions on how they would have handled it.
I agree that you did the right thing by calling. The young ladies reaction was clearly not professional and could have been handled better.
Let's not forget that there is a reason it's called the "oldest profession in the world",it's a business and these ladies are business people. Some are more professional than others and others are still feeling their way around.
I think everyone agrees that if you are running late or must cancel a businness appointment, one calls the other party and advises of their status. Why,besides being common courtesy and common sense, TIME IS MONEY. Generally speaking, except for doctors or dentists, Most professionals will not charge a client if they must cancel an appointment. Why, because if these professionals are not seeing clients, they usually have other things such as paperwork that can be done to fill the missed appointment. The clock keeps ticking and thus the missed appointment does not really cost anything except "new income."
In the cases of doctors, dentists, working girls and others whose business is dependent upon a patient or client being in the "office" to be "worked upon, there are rarely "other things" that can be done to keep the clock ticking to make up for the lost hour (aka $$) that has just been lost. Thus the reason for a cancellation fee, no patient or client, no money.
Doctors and dentists usually have billing information and will forward the invoice to your billing address for the missed appointment.
Working girls do not really have this luxury, which is why some girls require a deposit to insure that if the client does not show, there is some recovery of lost income. I believe that this is also the reason that some ladies book appointments so close together, while not professional, it is a way to try and minimize losses caused by no shows that probably happen more often than not.
Everyone handles their buiness in different ways. Some are better than others. But we as clients should be mindful that regardless of what has happened with other individuals, these ladies are in business for themselves and should be given the same courtsy accorded other professionals. And since these ladies usually do not have a billing department and vast amounts of working capital, An hour without a client in the "office" is an immediate loss of income. Nothing new here, just food for thought and my 2 cents.
I don't stand people up but mentioned this before. The TS who has a zillion names in the OC and now says she is an indian from India with a red dot between her brows. I called her years back and said I can't make it. Work crap came up. She posted my phone number on every gay website in S. Cal. I just changed my number but apparently pissed her off Stay away.
